Please continue to pray for peace in this valley. More fighting today. No one is able to show up for work because of the danger involved if they are part of certain groups We know so little of what is actually happening. It does not involve us, but those that are so close to us. I am especially praying for a sweet fellow who works at our school, Mac. He is a dad and has a sweet disposition.
Prayers for patience for me today (it’s not my long suit), as I begin our journey into homeschooling. Also, please pray for Becca, that she would understand she is not dumb, she just learns differently. She’s been beaten down by other kids in public school and isn’t feeling too good about herself. My heart breaks for her. Any and all prayers would be greatly appreciated.
There are different language groups and clans. They have resentments built up. Someone was killed and now it is about payback. Just pray for changed hearts and God to work.
Prayers for your situation, Jo. I pray that God may bring good out of the evil done; changing hearts and minds with the truth and power of the Holy Spirit. May many see how fruitless revenge really is and how they may have the real fruits of peace and joy through Jesus Christ.
Our street gangs have the same payback ethic — and not a Muslim among them. I suspect it’s all part of the whole fallen world, fallen man thing that infects us all. 😦
Relax. You can get more educating done in an hour with her than she can get in the public school. The distractions are gone. Don’t push her or yourself to frustration, it will work. Do a little here and a little there and gradually build up. Do a lot at the start and zip forward. Whatever works for her.

I agree, Donna. There are whole societies that have a stronger revenge ethic, however. In some of them it is very wrong not to avenge your loved one.
