Who can we pray for today?
Psalm 57
¹Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me! For my soul trusts in You; And in the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge, Until these calamities have passed by.
2 I will cry out to God Most High, To God who performs all things for me.
3 He shall send from heaven and save me; He reproaches the one who would swallow me up. Selah God shall send forth His mercy and His truth.
4 My soul is among lions; I lie among the sons of men Who are set on fire, Whose teeth are spears and arrows, And their tongue a sharp sword.
5 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; Let Your glory be above all the earth.
6 They have prepared a net for my steps; My soul is bowed down; They have dug a pit before me; Into the midst of it they themselves have fallen. Selah
7 My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and give praise.
8 Awake, my glory! Awake, lute and harp! I will awaken the dawn.
9 I will praise You, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing to You among the nations.
10 For Your mercy reaches unto the heavens, And Your truth unto the clouds.
11 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; Let Your glory be above all the earth.
I think I may have hurt my back. Heating pads and painkillers not working.

kBells, ouch. Hopefully a temporary twinge. My friend, a public school teacher, wound up having back surgery a few years ago and it really worked well, but that’s something we all want to avoid, of course (and LA schools paid for it in full, such a deal none of the rest of us would have).
I think she’d had issues leading up to this, but apparently it tripped over when she was doing some lessons on earthquakes and hauled a ton of bricks into her classroom from her car one day.

kbells, try ice, that sometimes works better than heat. Doesn’t feel as nice when it’s on however.
Praying.

Prayers requested for safety. Second Arrow has a flat tire on the interstate, and hubby and 5th Arrow went to go change it for her. It will be dark by the time they get there. Thanks.

Thanks, Kare.
Tire is changed, but her battery had gone dead in the time she’d been sitting there with her four-ways on. The battery had also gone dead sometime recently, I think last week, when she’d left something on, she wasn’t sure what, but it was working fine after somebody jumped it for her. I don’t know if it wouldn’t start at all tonight, but hubby didn’t want her having trouble with the thing, with winter coming up and all, so they went and bought her a new battery, so she’s all good to go.
Hubby and 5th Arrow are on the way home now, and should be here within a half hour or so. Thank you for the prayers.

Thanks, Donna. They got home safely, and I presume 2nd Arrow did, as well.
If anyone sees this tonight, or even in the morning, I could use some prayers. Bad case of insomnia tonight. It feels like one of those nights where I’m hardly going to sleep. Something is weighing heavily on my mind, something I knew about this morning, but that didn’t start really bothering me until late tonight. I don’t know if this is spiritual warfare or if I have done something hurtful to someone that requires repentance. I just have a guilty conscience about the thing I heard about today, and don’t really know if I’m connected or not.

Father, I ask for 6 arrows that you would give her peace and rest. If she needs to take care of something, let her commit to doing that and turn it over to you. May the peace that passes understanding rest on her this night. May she look to You and rest in You and let all of her troubles roll over onto You. Shelter in the shadow of His wings and snuggle safely in.
