Prayer Requests 7-25-13

Who can we pray for today?

Psalm 128

1 Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.

For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.

Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the Lord.

The Lord shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.

Yea, thou shalt see thy children’s children, and peace upon Israel.

  1. You have them Kim.
😦 I’ll confess that I forgot about Gamia yesterday. Does today work as well?

Kim, you mentioned a “meltdown” yesterday. If no one else was involved, no harm done. It might even be helpful to relieve stress. But, but careful what you say. You can’t take back words.

  2. My melt down was all about me. I cannot get focused on what to do next. Mr. P put it all down on paper how we can live off of his income but there will be no “frills”. I have lived the no frills lifestyle for years now and I was starting to breathe a little easier and enjoy a few frills.
For as spoiled as BG is I have had to tell her no to so many things over the years that it was nice to say yes once in a while. She is now living with her father and I am giving him all the child support money. I just feel pressure from every direction.

  3. Kim, I suspect the pressure is being applied by you.
I really doubt that BG has sufferred during the years.
I have learned that the secret to financial success is to always live a little below your income level.
My dad always lived a little above his income level. He never learned that living on credit recuces your living standard by 18 to 21 percent. He never wanted to be dependent on anyone. But, in the end, I had to take over his house payments.

  4. Praying, Kim. And for the Nest and Gambia.

Thanks for the prayers for safe travels yesterday. Both my sister and I arrived safely and we are having a wonderful time on our visit. Blessings to you all.

  5. Just got off the phone with my upstairs tenant/friend. Even though we’ve been friends for years, & live in the same house, we really don’t talk all that much.

(You may remember I had to ask her family to move out, because we need the room for our girls & Forrest, but they haven’t found a place yet, & are very low on money, which also makes the moving difficult, as they don’t have the money for a security deposit.)

She is very depressed, the lowest she’s ever been, & her husband is struggling with depression, in spite of being on medication for it.

I’ve been struggling with depression, too, & Lee often seems pretty down & discouraged about things.

Please pray against the spirit of depression & discouragement for our whole house. Thank you.

  6. Oh, Kim, I have been there and it is hard. But,… praise the Lord for Mr. P and that you have that way to make it work. I have found that God sends the extras when I least expect it. So.. look for the blessings that He and He alone will send. It might be a sunset or lunch with a friend, but He is looking to bless you. I have so many stories of God’s care when my husband left. And the trip to Australia that I just took was expensive, but God provided. Believe me, I am not criticizing, but feeling the pain.
