Who can we pray for today?
Psalm 119:159-176
159 Consider how I love thy precepts: quicken me, O Lord, according to thy lovingkindness.
160 Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.
161 Princes have persecuted me without a cause: but my heart standeth in awe of thy word.

Wandering Views 
It is so refreshing to read these verses after having read the news/politics thread. Puts things in perspective. Looking at what is going on, one can meditate that this too shall pass.

Prayer please, as I am attempting to reintegrate the children into the family. Prayer for husband as he continues to be kept on hold. Which may not be legal.

I did not sleep well for most of the night praying for the Nest. Indeed, I’ve not slept much in the last week.
But at least I’m logging the prayer time.
We sign papers to sell our house this evening. The house deal we had hoped to get fell through ( which we’re fine with, we prayed).
It would be helpful, however, if my character either became perfect or we found another place to live . . .

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for how You give meaning and endurance in times when we have no understanding of what is going on in our lives and in the lives of people around this world. You mean for us to give You glory and call upon You in the good times and bad so here we are again, praising You for Who You are and Your mighty ability to do awesome things that we can not even imagine.
I pray in particular today for Mumsee as she is going through this tremendous trial of her endurance. She can not do it all by herself as You well know. We look to You for provision during this great time of need. Thank You that You have allowed Kim and BG to be Your hands, heart and feet as helpers. I pray for more help as needs arise. I pray for patience for Mike as he awaits the legal system to do their thing. Government is s-o-o-o s-l-o-o-o-o-w. Please break through red tape and may this be considered a priority because of the number of lives it is affecting. I pray for a quick resolution that will be in great favor of Mike and Mumsee and the way they are helping to redeem the lives of children who were so lost in a hateful world devoid of Christian love. May Your good will be done, may You be glorified and may all in the Mumsee and Mike home know of Your peace that passes all understanding. In Jesus’ name, Amen

Heavenly Father,
I also lift up 6 Arrow’s son for continuing blessings of healing from the disease brought on by the tick bite. If he has pain and discomfort, I ask that You would give him relief. If there is any anxiety about how long his illness may last, I ask that You help him and the family remember to take each day and its blessings as a reminder of how You are good to meet our needs. Jesus prayed for daily bread so we would know to call on God for the needs of this day and recognize our need to be in prayer each day. The model prayer helps us to keep things in perspective and shows that You do indeed want to hear our daily concerns. Thank You, for loving us so much that You have made us needy and feeling the necessity of close communication with You and those who love You. Lord, You have blessed all the children in the 6 Arrows family with parents who love them and try to always do their best. Please give 6 Arrows the right words and actions for today as she acts as a nurse taking care of her son and making sacrifices of her comfort for his sake. Bless them with an extra dose of healing this day as only You can do. In the name of blessed Jesus, Amen

Thank you so much for your beautiful prayers, Janice. I was just going to update on 5th Arrow when your prayer on his behalf appeared! After his fever and lethargy grew steadily worse throughout the day yesterday, he began to turn around right when he was going to bed last night, about eight hours after his first dose of medicine. He slept pretty well, only waking up once, and this morning is MUCH improved. He is out on an outing with his dad, going to get parts at the parts store. 🙂
Thank you to all who prayed for him. He needs to take his antibiotic for 28 days to prevent dissemination of the spyrochete in his system. We would appreciate continued prayers for full healing and minimal to no side effects from the medicine.

Ticks be gone. 😦 Glad he’s feeling better, 6 arrows, can you imagine how horrible it must have been in the pre-antibiotic age?
mumsee, do you have someone who’s able to help on your behalf with legal advice or counsel when/if needed?
And I agree with Jo, how refreshing when we stop to consider that our present afflictions (especially in terms of the state of the world and nation, and what a mess THAT all is!) really do fade in light of God’s eternal perspective.

Donna, I came on here to ask the same thing. Mumsee, do you have a lawyer? You NEED one. If you don’t have one, I have a hunch that the Homeschool Legal Defense Fund might be a good place to start. This is not “directly related” to their specialty; nevertheless they may be an excellent place to find a family-friendly lawyer who will work with you in terms of costs.

I just wanted all of you to know that in the midst of all this there are a few Son Beams shining through.
First, I had to change my flight and go home a day earlier to a different city. Southwest changed everything AND refunded $60!
Some one else has helped relieve a burden.
Someone else has made an offer to help in some way.
I have studied history and man’s inhumanity to man has always astounded me. Now I am seeing another side. Man’s humanity to other men. It is a good thing!
