Prayer Requests 4-11-13

Who has a request, praise, or update for us today?

Psalm 127

1 Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.

3 Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

4 As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.

5 Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

  1. Please pray all can go smoothly in these last few days of the tax season at my husband’s office. One of the worker’s husband was afflicted with kidney stones last night so she is unexpectedly unavailable for work. Please pray her husband can quickly improve and that she is able to come back to work. Thank you for your prayers.

Also, our son is presenting a paper at a conference this weekend, so if you don’t mind praying he will do a good job on the presentation, and have traveling mercies, that would be appreciated.

  2. Shockingly, prayers needed here. But we are seeing answered prayer in the life of a very angry young man. And the trip to LA was very good toward nudging another fifteen year old toward God. He was exposed to a whole bunch of liberals. Generally very nice people. But in their talks he realized that their diversity conversation was not very diverse toward anybody of different views.

  3. I have an update on Cynthia and her cancer treatments.

The blood count booster shots have helped her bone marrow. She will now have the next round of chemo today thru Monday, and then her PICC line will be removed. Please continue to keep Cynthia and her family in parayer. Thanks.

    Praying ladies.

  4. Things were bad around here this morning. Just got off the phone with ex-H. BG at Nana’s.
I have never wanted her to think I was abandoning her or chosing someone or something else over her like my mother chose a bottle of bourbon. History repeats and I am a failure as a mother.

  5. nope, you are not, Kim. Sorry to argue with you and all. You are teaching your daughter that she is not the center of the universe. You will both be okay.

  6. The other woman we have been attempting to help just called and left a lengthy message on our machine. She claims the other woman has something like 87 charges of trafficking meth through Western Union and our car was the one in use. She and her boyfriend borrowed our car, we had never met them, when her daughter was in that accident. I would like this all resolved as she continues to leave lengthy messages on the machine and the children get to listen to all her stuff. They are easily frightened, especially by meth users. Thanks.

  7. Kim, you haven’t abandoned your child. You have reared a girl into adolescence.
We never had a girl, but Chuck & Linda had three. Linda says that with girls, it’s always some “drama”. I had never heard the term WRT problem resolution, but it seems that girls go for the drama. Their girls turned out OK in spite of themselves. Yours will too.
I and many others here are praying for you and Chloe. And George too, that he might have wisdom.
    “Do the next right thing.”
That’s all you can do. That’s all that’s expected.
