  3. 😦 Still talking to myself.
    Remember? I once said one of my “never” principles is, “Never start the car with the garage door down”. I have been tempted to do so just to check on something, like mileage, or set the clocks.
    This morning, the Times-News reported on the death of one of Hendersonville’s favorite men. He died back in October. He owned a car dealership. The death was ruled an accident. What happened was.
    He was working on a truck that was running, he fell off a ladder and was knocked unconscious. He died of carbon monoxide poisoning.
    Don’t ever start the car with the garage door down. Not even for a minute.

  5. I gave the Kid some money to buy souvenirs at his field trip.
    🙂 He bought me a very nice book mark.
    😦 He bought himself a harmonica. Does anyone know how annoying a harmonica can be in the hands of a nine-year-old who thinks he’s a rock star?

  17. John Lennon played the harmonica, too, using one of those weird around the head or shoulders holders so he could also keep playing the guitar. I think Dylan had the same get-up.

    So if you guys have a guitar around the house, they can actually then play both at the same time. Hours of musical (sort of) fun for the whole family that way.

    😦 New computer system at work is awful. They almost didn’t get one of our sister papers out the other night — the entire front page vanished from the computer system at about 10 p.m. I guess they finally found or restored it somehow. No one’s very happy.

    🙂 Getting a much-needed haircut today.

    😦 I’ve got to start eating better again. I’ve become very lax about my diet and I’m feeling it.

  25. Well, the one studying to be, anyway — she’s in the second of a five-semester program. I’m waiting to hear stories about her classes. She’s already told me some, and I’m sure there will be more. 🙂

  26. Spent Spring Break touring the West and watching basketball with my son. We’ve taken these all male, hiking, golfing, basketball-watching vacations for nineteen years (since he was 4). I am always happy to get home to my wife, but she is understanding to know we need this time to do “guy things”.:-)

  31. Children in public and private schools get a week off in the spring. I think College students get two weeks. I think it is so the teachers can go to some sort of conference or something.

  32. Our children would not do well with a break like that. Though, sometimes they get one anyway. One of the fifteen year olds is just finishing her tenth grade and will be starting eleventh the next day. She plans to go to college, then med school, and finish as a forensic whatever. She is also very kind and sweet. I look forward to see what God’s plans are for her.
