Who can we pray for today?
And it’s Wednesday, so don’t forget the folks in Gambia. 🙂
And I just wanted to say Thank You! again to all of you who pray for these requests.
Psalm 23
1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
I learned last night that my former editor of many years probably has Stage IV lung cancer. 😦

Young H who has been living with us for a couple months preparing to go to Italy as a missionary, has a meeting with the Italian counsel this morning–visa problems. Paperwork hasn’t come through, required items have changed and she’s clinging to God’s leading, but concerned. Her flight is April 6 and it’s not looking good on the visa. Thanks.

I almost forgot to pray for Gambia and Phos and Ajisuun today.

Yep, the Gambians always need us.
Well, the visa fell apart this morning and I’ve spent time shoring up my missionary. She’s trying hard to walk by faith, not by sight and I’m encouraging her that just because she can’t see what God is up to, doesn’t mean he doesn’t have something planned. She’s going to go with her three months in country that any tourist gets and then see what God does with her.
It’s exciting if you look at it the right way. 🙂 Which I, for one, am.

Whew! One of my more autistic/ emotionally disturbed children had a meltdown today at Bible Club. Well, it started before we got there because she did not want to wear her shoes. Anyway, she was full blown when we got there. I held her for about twenty minutes of raging. She broke my new glasses (one of the children called husband and he brought in my spare pair). Then she sat and hugged me for another twenty minutes. When she does that, she is shifting into the past and is expecting me to hit her or pull her hair or spit on her or whatever, but all I do is let her rage and then hug her. We have taught her to go for the hug first and she generally does but this one got away from her. I could see it coming but wanted her to take control. She is so improved and I thank God for the way He is guiding her into the Truth. She loves the Word and prayer time. She has a lot of depth to her discussions about God. When she arrived she was non verbal. Thank God for bringing her into our lives, and for bringing us into hers!
