Nothing rant nor rave about.
I started to say something about Janice assuming that Rick’s mother needed a special car because of her age.
She’s only 76 folks!
😦 Hearing about the fourteen year old girl who has a ‘relationship’ with another girl now. Issues in her family.
🙂 Music with all its joy and the healing it brings.
🙂 Prayer partners and warriors.
🙂 My dad has bought a few cars now that were ‘probably be his last’. I am so greatful for how well he is doing, physically. Prayers for his spiritual growth would be appreciated.
🙂 It’s Saturday. But I do have to go into the office for a few hours. 😦 We’re all on call for the runaway cop. Haven’t checked the news yet, but I’m hoping he was just maybe caught last night. Of course, then that means we’re all working today.
🙂 Finished the big Westminster dog show project, the second of 2 big centerpiece projects I had on my plate this past month. Back to a little routine for a while now until the next one comes along.
🙂 We had rain & hail yesterday.
😦 The week started out bad with the boxer dog who was hit by a car and killed right in front of my house Monday morning. We don’t know who she belonged to, the phone # on her tag didn’t lead to an owner. But it said her name was “Sandy.” 😦 At least she died on impact and didn’t have to linger & suffer.
😦 Something’s up at work, probably more cutbacks, though the thinking is that us lowly reporters/worker bees may be spared. But maybe not, who knows.
😦 Trying to get caught up on my Bible reading which I let slide a bit this week.
🙂 God’s many blessings to me. 😦 My lack of gratitude for it all sometimes.
🙂 Grace is over her stomach virus, her blood sugar is now better (from 49 to 93), and she can go for three weeks of therapy for her feeding disorder.
🙂 There’s a room at the Ronald McDonald house for us. On Friday they were at capacity, so we weren’t sure if we’d have a place to live all three weeks of her therapy.
🙂 No snow here. We had a few inches last week, but Kentucky wasn’t in the storm pattern this week.
🙂 Strangers who didn’t hate me for showing up with a photographer on their street to interview people in that neighborhood where the 2 newspaper delivery ladies were shot in that mistaken identity case involving the rogue cop.
🙂 Today we celebrate Emmy’s second birthday (which was officially yesterday), Sammy’s baptism, and dear DIL’s birtday (which is tomorrow). We expect about 30 guests after church this morning.
😦 I realized I must be in a major funk yesterday (after having to work and hearing of yet another scolding and rant that came from on high that morning) when I looked in my grocery basket and saw a banana cream pie. When I ran into some friends in another aisle who made comment on it, I was so embarrassed, I kept insisting I “normally I don’t buy this kind of thing, really I don’t …”
😦 I’ve been getting up with back aches over the past few days. It eases up after a couple hours, but it’s becoming annoying.
🙂 It is Sunday! It was Scout Sunday today. Nice to see the Scout families coming to our service to support and thank our church for hosting them.
🙂 Our children’s Sunday School made valentines for an older widow lady who had been helping in our class and with the department for years. I know she will be delighted with the cards the children and other teachers made for her.
🙂 Son is visiting his friends.
🙂 Nice to touch base with tax clients we see only once a year.
🙂 Ordered Michelle’s book and may have gotten the last one in stock from Amazon so they will need to order more 🙂 🙂
🙂 So far the banana cream pie remains untouched in the refrigerator. If it’s still whole by tomorrow, I’ll take it into work to share with the newsroom. Heaven knows, we’re all in need of some whipped-cream comfort food these days.

Trials and tribulations with extended family this week. 😦

She got a good trade for the deathtrap. 🙂
Looming sequestration is making us nervous around here. 😦

So far, OK.
The swelling is down. But it’s still uncomfortable. And I swear that sometimes I can feel the bone spur dragging on the other bone. Not fun.
But a lot less painful now that the swelling is down.

🙂 Emily loves to shovel snow! (Really!)
🙂 Lee is very thorough with his snow-thrower.
🙂 Now we can enjoy the beauty of the snow, without worrying about losing power, or the clean-up. It’ll be around for a long while, I’m thinking.
🙂 Forrest looks so cute all bundled up in his snow suit, shoveling snow with his child-size shovel.
