Prayer Requests 1-23-13

What can we pray about for you today?

And it’s Wednesday, so please remember Gambia and our friends there.

Psalm 23

1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

  2. Heavenly Father,

    Thank You for this new day full of possibiliities. Thank You for prayers that make a difference and bear witness of You at work in the world. You know the needs of each of us before we even speak them. I pray especially for Kbells son today that You would be a strengthening agent in his life pulling him up out of the way he perceives himself to be. Help him to work toward a new identity so that he does not feel fated to trouble those around him. May he begin to understand the Holy Spirit prompting him to make good choices. May he understand his role of being obedient to the promptings of the Holy Spirit and the encouragement he receives from his parents and teachers to make right choices. I pray that influences in his life that lead him astray would be lessened day by day. And if any teachers have it in for him, I pray You will soften their hearts and make them realize his potential and give them desire to offer mercy and tolerance as he learns to have better behavior.

    Please comfort Kbells and her husband as they consider options and solutions. Give them wise guidance. Show them in some tangible way how much You love and are concerned about their son. Help them to always show respect for him even in the midst of on-going disappointment. May this be just one of those stages that he must go through to come out the other side as a better person had he not experienced what it is to be a disturber of the peace. Help him to grow to like calm and peace. Please help any dietary issues that may be causing him to have this contrary activity to be resolved. I pray in the name of Jesus, Amen

  6. Praying for Pauline this morning..Lord God, I ask that you give her strength and encouragement. I praise you that we know you will provide for her every need. I pray that you would build a hedge of protection around her and her family. Send the Holy Spirit to minister to her. Let her feel Your love which surrounds her. Please let her see past all off the trials that have been coming her way, that her faith in You is well placed. I offer You thanks and praise for Your constant love and faithfulness. In Jesus name. Amen.
