Who can we pray for today?
Also, it’s Wednesday, so please pray for Gambia and it’s workers today as well.
Psalm 18:30-36
30 As for God, His way is blameless;
The word of the Lord is tried;
He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.
31 For who is God, but the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God,
32 The God who girds me with strength
And makes my way blameless?
33 He makes my feet like hinds’ feet,
And sets me upon my high places.
34 He trains my hands for battle,
So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.
35 You have also given me the shield of Your salvation,
And Your right hand upholds me;
And Your gentleness makes me great.
36 You enlarge my steps under me,
And my feet have not slipped.
Please pray for the family of a woman who has been clinically depressed. She has been in physical rehab for a previous attempt on her own life. It was recommended that she stay in the hospital for treatment, but she declined, and her oldest son took over guardianship. Dad, sad to say, left the woman because of the depression- but seemingly has left the kids (all nearly grown) to deal with the problem -thanks dad.
A family trip to the beach didn’t solve the problem, because she wound up missing on Christmas eve.
As far as I know she has not been found. We fear the worst.

Heavenly Father,
I come with Thanksgiving for the lovely Christmas Day that many of us experienced. You have provided for more than we need materially and also given us loads of love from our family relationships. Yet there are those within our nation’s population who are suffering grief during this season. Loved ones have passed on to be with You early in their lives. Others are caught up in consuming depression that wipes away any semblance of joy in their lives. I pray in particular for this family MIM has mentioned. Please let them find the lost mom. Help her to be okay. May the father step up to helping his children during this time of need and sadness. Desertion of a family is never an appropriate answer. O Lord, hear our plea for this needy family. You know why this lady has gone missing. Give this family a belated Christmas blessing as You reveal the whereabouts of this lady. Please comfort those who are hurting over this situation. We turn to You and ask that You be their ready help in this time of trouble. Please continue to comfort and bless the families who lost their children in Connecticut. Help Phillip Yancy and his wife to have the right words and approach during their times of speaking with that community. I pray in the name of Jesus, Amen

Requesting more prayer for my husband and his job situation. He learned today that he has not been fired, but that he is being demoted quite substantially. I won’t elaborate at this point, but he was very taken by surprise when his boss spoke to him today about it. My husband is very angry and has a lot of questions for his boss that he wants answered, and plans to ask him some very specific questions about the rationale behind the decision.
Please pray that my husband will be able to speak to his boss without anger, and that he would get some answers (truthful answers would be nice, but are probably too much to expect from a man like his boss, having demonstrated in the past what a liar he is) without experiencing any negative consequences for simply asking questions.
