Do you have a request or praise to share?
John 15:1-5 KJV
1I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
The talk went very well. Son took it well and accepted responsibility for his actions. The next day, he asked me for some schoolwork to do which he then completed in a very timely fashion. Thanks for praying, now please join me in praising God for His continuing work here.

Prayer is a sincere, sensible, affectionate pouring out of the heart or soul to God, through Christ, in the strength and assistance of the Holy Spirit, for such things as God has promised, or according to His Word, for the good of the church, with submission in faith to the will of God. John Bunyan, Bedford Prison, 1662

Sometimes what you are praying about is to great to put into words I think sometimes the simplest of prayers, “God, You kno hat is going on. Please help me through this. Help me know hat to do next” works.
That is how my morning from about 2 am to around 5am went…
As always, I appear calm and in control during the crisis. It is only after everything is out and I am alone that I fall to pieces.

Kim, I so relate to what you are saying. I love the verse that says that Jesus intercedes for us in those circumstances when all we can do (I’m paraphrasing) is groan.

Kim – I understand. I’m praying for you & Chloe, & Paul, too. The pain of our children is our pain as well.
I haven’t shared this before, but my Chrissy admitted to me recently (but I already knew it in my spirit) that she thinks of suicide often, but knows it is against God’s will. My prayer for her – & for Chloe – is that Jesus would reveal Himself to her in a way that would be very real to her heart, & that her faith & trust in Him will deepen.
Oh God, get a hold of our daughters’ hearts, & help them to hang onto You!

Kim,
I don’t usually respond to tell people when I pray for them, but in this case, I just wanted you to know that I am. I’m so sorry you have to go through this.

And for you as well, Karen.

Thank you, Ree. Like you, I don’t usually mention I’m praying for requests (except a general mention now & then), but felt I needed to say something.

As another who also cannot always find the words to express my prayers, I often remember that John Bunyan also said “In prayer it is better to have a heart without words than words without a heart.”

My nephew’s 16 month old had tubes put in his ears last week to help with constant infections. He is not getting better and seems to be worse and has been sick and feverish ever since.

I don’t often announce that I am praying, either, but I do pray for all the requests I see here every day.
A praise:
I praise God that 1st Arrow was not in or near his vehicle when it was broadsided while parked on the street when my son was attending a work meeting yesterday. The driver who smashed into my son’s truck left the scene, but a witness followed after the driver, got the license plate number, reported it, and the police apprehended the offender shortly after.
The vehicle is totaled, but I am thankful my son is safe.

Odd, I came back just now and saw that comments I wrote earlier seem to have disappeared. I’m reasonably sure I clicked on Post, but maybe senility is catching up with me. 🙂
I asked Kbells for her nephew’s baby’s first name, as I find it easier to pray if I have a name. I also stated that I would pray for the baby’s parents to have peace and that I was praying for Chrissy and Chloe.
I also posted a Praise report that my SIL’s biopsy showed that his liver condition has not changed since his last tests in 2007 and no treatment is necessary.

First of all thank you for all who have prayed for BG and the rest of us.
Karen, just a thought, but has Forrest’s father perhaps contacted the pediatrician and asked him to “watch for signs of abuse as he is suspicious and just wants what is best for his son,…..blah, blah, blah…”?
Once you have dealt with one sociopath you can pretty much predict the behaviour in that nothing is beyond or above them when it comes to creating trouble for the focus of their anger.

KBells, it is hard to believe we get pneumonia down here like we do. Tell your niece and nephew that you know of someone whose daughter got tubes on May 9 and the ear infection didn’t clear up until sometime in late June. 😉

Kim – I wouldn’t put it past him, but I don’t think that’s the case here. Emily told Ryan what the pediatrician had said, & he actually was on her side about it.
But speaking of this…another prayer request would be that Emily would once again file for a custody agreement & follow through with it.
