Prayer Requests 11-6-12

What should we pray for today?

Proverbs 3:1-6

1 My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart,

2 for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity.

3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.

4 Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;

6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

  1. Update on my prayer request yesterday morning on “Our Daily Thread”:

    Things are improving as of this morning. My husband and I had a good talk this morning about some things that had been deteriorating in our relationship, and about other stresses in our family life and how we can support each other as we aim to smooth things out as much as any humans can.

    We would appreciate your continued prayers. Being the parents of a special needs child has been much more of a challenge than we ever expected, for us as a couple, and for our whole family, as much as we love our little boy. It is not difficult for me to see why there is such a high divorce rate among parents raising special needs children, but by the grace of God we will not resort to that. We are committed to walking together with the Lord through the challenges we face. I know we will come out stronger on the other side.

    Thank you for your prayer support.

  2. Blessings to you 6 Arrows.

    An older (79) friend of mine from church is having cataract surgery Wednesday (1 p.m. Pacific Time); the surgery on her first eye a couple years ago wound up being more complicated than anticipated so she’s nervous about this one.

    So if you could remember to pray for Norma — that her surgery goes smoothly, that she has a minimum of anxiety and discomfort, and that her recovery this time will be uncomplicated. Thanks.

  3. Pray also for my friend Shirley who went in for her women’s ‘wellness’ exam today when the nurse practitioner felt something in one of her breasts, so she now needs to get further testing. She’s religious about getting her annual mammograms & has had calcification in the breasts before, so hopefully that’s all it is.

    But she’s extremely worried.
