What should we pray about today?

Psalm 150

1 Praise the Lord.

Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens.

2 Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness.

3 Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre,

4 praise him with timbrel and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe,

5 praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals.

6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord.

  3. Heavenly Father,

    Thank You for looking down on us all in our various locations and noticing that our hearts are turned to You. We come to You in anticipation of finding Your favor as we make petitions and intercessions for those in need. Hear our prayers rising up from deep wells of faithfulness and through the righteousness of Jesus.

    We continue to lift up Matt who has been missing for some days now. What has happened to him, Lord? You are aware. Please reveal the truth of his whereabouts. I pray he is not harmed in anyway. May he be found quickly for the great relief of those who love him and want him back home.

    Please bless Karen O with the finding of her ID so she can vote. You have knowledge of all that is missing. Please let it be known to Karen or a family member where they have not looked that is acting as a secure hiding place for the ID. May it be found quickly for the time to vote is coming right up.

    Please give kare2012 relief from that migraine. I hope she was able to enjoy her plans for the evening despite the affliction. Please help her to find what works to prevent future headaches.

    I ask of You, Lord, to comfort the dog park friend’s of Donna, Pat and Carol, as they process the shooting and death of their neice. We live in such a violent society, Lord. Hearts are broken daily by such nonsensical shootings and other acts of violence. May all those grieving in the community over this death come together, not letting this death be in vain, and do something to help prevent future occurances of this type of harm. Give Donna the right words and actions as she tries to comfort her friends.

    Lord, children are always up to something new and unexpected as is this child who has come to live with Mumsee & family. Please guide them to the proper way to handle the situation to create cooperation instead of rebellion. Help the child to understand the discipline and instruction comes from hearts that love and care for him. May he be blessed with finding a more beneficial outlet for dealing with his feelings.

    Kbell’s son may at this moment be taking one of those three tests scheduled for today. Help him to do his very best and not feel overly worn out from a day full of testing. Help him to shine with brillance as You guide him through the day. Ease any frustration encountered over specific questions. Help him to know if he is to skip over questions to best utilize the time available. May his grades be on an upswing for the rest of the grading period.

    Lastly, I pray for 6 Arrows who is concerned for her marriage. She is trying to make good decisions in her priorities. Bless her as she whittles down her involvement with the internet and concentrates on the home front. May her more focused attention reap quick rewards. Thank You for her diligence in seeking Your favor through prayer. You have the ways to make things better and we put our trust in Your granting grace to make this marriage thrive.

    I pray for all these many needs and also for those on this site who have unmentioned needs for themselves or loved ones. I release them all to Your great hands of giving, Lord. May Your will be done and I know Your will is good. In Jesus’ name, Amen

  5. Amen to Janice’s prayer.

    Matt is still missing.

    Our church is having a day of fasting and prayer for the election. I will not be there, but certainly will join in for prayer for our country at home.

    Finished reading Daniel today. Daniel was so distressed for his people. God made special provision to get him a message through the angel, Michael. Michael had to battle to get through with the message. At the end, Daniel is left with this, ” As for you, go your way till the end. You will rest, and then at the end of the days you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance.” Dan 12:13 Isn’t this a message for us all?

    I was once very, very anxious over someone close to me. God got a message to me in a surprising way, that the person would be all right. It took awhile and I had to go back and remember that assurance I was given. In the long run that assurance was proven correct.

    No matter what happens in this election, God’s truth (true truth) still stands and always will. For that, we can take one day at a time, be thankful and even rejoice, all with God’s blessing. 🙂

  6. I ask for prayer – I am sick again (digestive system), and this time, the symptoms are more severe. It is discouraging, especially as I seemed to be making a little progress in getting out and about in the village, to be laid up again.

  7. Phos, I did think of you as I was writing the long prayer above. God brought you to mind but the prayer was getting so long that I did not add you so now…

    Heavenly Father,

    I lift up Phos for Your blessing of improving health as her digestive system continues to adjust to her new environment. When she is suffering pain, I pray You will ease it while at the same time helping her to feel even greater compassion for those around her who are feeling pain. When we ourselves suffer it gives us greater compassion for those who suffer similarily. So do not let this suffering be wasted, but please make it go away very quickly! I thank You that Phos is seeing improvement in her ability to make a difference where You have planted her. I pray she can daily have practice with the language that challenges her to learn new words and expressions. Help her to keep a good sense of humor as some of what she tries to say comes out meaning something else entirely. Keep her from feeling embarassed as a work in process. Thank You for her dear heart for ministry. May her light shine ever brighter in the darkness and not be hindered by ailments in her physical being. Thank You for Your loving hand of healing touching her and bringing her back to feeling healthy and productive. In Jesus’ name, Amen

  8. I have a request everyone pray for this lady in our church. Her name is Stacy. Her husband is not a believer and he has been charged with 1st degree murder. Because he was involved with the Drug Cartel, pray for safety for Stacy and children. Pray that her husband, Larry be granted repentance and truth faith in Christ.

  9. Heavenly Father,

    You know all about the troubles that Stacy finds herself in because her husband has been involved with a Drug Cartel. I pray for her protection and for the protection of her children. Thank You for giving Stacy a church family that cares and prays for her. Ease the burdens on her heart at this moment. Calm her emotions in the storm of her husband’s incarceration. Help her to connect with others in her community who have gone through similar traumatic times. I pray she will not feel shame over her connection with the crime because of her husband’s actions. I pray none of the children’s friends will turn away from them since this has happened. Bless this family with peace that passes understanding. And I do ask for You to be bringing the husband along to repentence and faith in Jesus. In His name, Amen

  13. There was a motorcycle drive/fund raiser for Det Perez over the weekend. I haven’t heard how much was raised, but they went by the hospital and he was able to come outside to watch. One local station interviewed him, he thanked everyone for their prayers and help. He looked very good [for a man that had been so badly injured], and said he’d be able to go home in a couple of weeks.
