Prayer Requests 11-3-12

What should we pray about today?

Psalm 28:6-7

6 Praise be to the Lord,
    for he has heard my cry for mercy.
7 The Lord is my strength and my shield;
    my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.
My heart leaps for joy,
    and with my song I praise him.

And please continue to pray for those dealing with the wreckage Sandy left behind.

  1. Please pray that I will find my ID, so I can vote on Tuesday. I have no idea where it can be. I’ve already checked the most likely places.

  2. Karen O: praying you find your ID.
    Kathaleena: praying that Matt will be found safe and sound soon.

    I currently have a migraine which will not go away (I’ve already taken a second dose of medication which is unusual for me). I know it will go away, but we have been invited to our neighbours’ for supper and I would like to be able to have a clear head when we go. I’ve never met them, but my husband has.

  3. Pray for my friends from the dog park, Pat & Carol, whose niece was shot and killed Friday night by her boyfriend — who then shot himself in the head (and was in critical condition according to our last updated story). I spoke with Carol last night and she said they’re all just simply in shock over it.

    The boyfriend is well known and very active in political/union circles in town and she comes from a large local family so this has impacted many people throughout the community.

    Judging from some of the comments on our website linked to the story, it’s also turned into a bit of a vile shouting match among some folks, which is so distressing to the families, I’m sure. Some people are so out of control when it comes to their public anger and language. I’ve reported the comments to an editor but they still seem to be showing. 😦

  4. And on a much less painful note, I am requesting prayer for our little nest. It has come to my attention, though suspected before, that one of our new boys is smoking. Well, not in the traditional sense. He is burning tobacco he gets from a “friend” and tea leaves he is probably stealing from restaurants. Anyway, prayer for safety so he does not burn the house down, and prayer for wisdom as always. Thanks.
