  1. I needed to hear that verse this morning…I have been feeling befuddled as of late..not certain why. I need focus…I need to dig deeper…to be set free from the distractions of this world!

  2. I woke up praying for 6 Arrows that she would have a really good day and I see now that Nancy Jill needs similar prayer.

Heavenly Father, You know our days and their stresses. You know the times we live in with so many who are living downward lives instead of upward lives. It is stressful to just consider what goes on around us. You tell us to be in the world but not of it. That was certainly meant for days like the ones in which we live. Please help us to keep our focus on You. Let us (I am praying for myself and others here, too) always be found celebrating our first love, when we recognized Jesus as Lord and Savior. There is tremendous joy there. May we always live in the joy of our salvation. And I pray that the indwelling Holy Spirit would have free reign in each of us today. May we each exhibit those qualities found in Galatians: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Please, Lord, I pray that those around us would be witness to Your being evident in our lives in the way we treat others and how we focus upon our world. I pray for a lessening of distractions that are unworthy of the time You give us on earth. Also, let us never forget, this time is but a short time of suffering the results of sin being let loose on earth, but we have an eternal home where there will be no more tears or sorrow. That is the thought that sustained me with joy during really bad times. Thank You, Abba, for the many blessings You have given in the past and how You go before us putting sweet reminders of Yourself along our paths. May our love for You blossom again today and send an aroma so sweet into the world that people are drawn to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen

  3. Thank you, Janice. Requesting additional prayer today for my younger son, who has been throwing up since early this morning, and for me, for stamina, as I try to minister after only 4-5 hours of sleep last night. Thank you so much.

  4. Prayer for a friend & neighbor (“DA”). I was up late last night when she turned up on my door step needing to talk — very distressing situation playing out in their marriage and she’s quite panicked for her safety right now (real or imagined, but I suspect it’s the latter; I’m worried for her state of mind mostly). Prayers much needed, it sounds like a scary mess for her. There is a counselor in the picture, thankfully (and both are Christians, no kids).

  5. Thank you for the prayers. My son appears better now; he hasn’t thrown up for several hours and doesn’t act sick. No fever, lethargy, etc. We think probably he ate something that didn’t agree with him, and it took several bouts of throwing up to get rid of it. A little blood was present one of the times he threw up, but we believe that was probably from the strain and irritation from repeated vomiting that caused that. He seems fine now.

I’m fine, also, not too tired, although I typically feel more tired the second day after getting little sleep rather than the first, so I would welcome additional prayers for stamina tomorrow.

    Thank you all.

  6. I had lunch with Granddaughter and learned that the Fine Young Man had a mole removed from his back and will need further surgery in November. The doctor said it was between “moderate” and “serious.” He later had a mole removed from the back of his head, but we don’t know the biopsy results yet.

Please keep him in prayer, his name is Ryan and he’s only 23.

  7. Thanking God again for His goodness this day. Praising Him for how he causes the young to heal and get well so quickly. I pray for those who have lost sleep because they are serving as Christ to their families and neighbors (Donna). Thank You, Lord, for caring relatives like Kay who lifts up Ryan for prayer. May the young man be blessed by his association with Kay’s family. May he grow in knowledge and love for Christ as his questionable moles are diagnosed. I pray Lord that 6 Arrows would get a good night’s rest tonight and not feel unrested with the new day as she expects she will. Give her a boost through extremely peaceful and uninterupted sleep. Thank You, Lord, for friends like Donna who is available at all hours to help a friend in need. Please help the neighbor with whatever it may be that she feels threatened by. If she has faulty thinking about her spouse or marriage, Lord, I pray You will set her mind to right thinking and relieve her fears. If she is in danger, Lord, I pray You will shed light upon the situation so she can find safety. Thank You for again hearing our prayers this day. Bless those who are suffering grief over Darby and those who are being supportive of Nicole. So many people are in need of prayer these days, Lord. Please make a way for all Your children to be covered by prayers to sustain them during their times of need.
    In Jesus’ name, Amen
