  1. My husband has been struggling since Sunday; he hasn’t even tried to go to the morning service in recent months, but attempts to attend the evening one. I came home from the morning service to find him lying on the couch, shivering, waiting for me to come home and cover him with more blankets. It’s an issue related to his underlying health concerns. He got through the “can’t get warm” stage that day, but since then he has been in a good bit of discomfort and has spent most of every day lying down, and has also dealt with intestinal issues. He is in contact with a doctor’s office about a medical procedure they said might be an option if things got to this point, but in the meantime he has to get through at least the next few days.

Monday we are supposed to get a visit from our newly engaged daughter and her fiance; we haven’t seen them since November. Tuesday he has a medical appointment, but he contacted the doctor who schedules them that he needs to have a bed available for him, not the chair he usually uses, but they told him no beds are available that day.

  2. I have been praying for you and him, Cheryl. This is so difficult, I am sure. My husband has some similar issues, and our daughters are far away, which makes it even more challenging. He is still able to perform his music, but it gets to be more and more of a challenge. Other things he doesn’t do, and I have to pick up the slack, of course. It gets stressful, for sure. I pray you and he get all the help you need.

  3. Prayers Cheryl.

And speaking from personal experience, there’s nothing that’s more of a blessing to a man than a caring and loving wife when times are at their worst.

I’m happy to see your husband has that blessing too.

  5. Cheryl, you two have my prayers, also. You are being an excellent wife to him. I praise God again for putting you two together in His timing and way. It is so difficult to do all the caregiving and other household responsibilities. Prayers for good upcoming doctor visits along with a needed bed or at least a recliner that will serve as a bed. May love continue to flow between you two with all that God inspires and intended in this season of life. We shall continue to praise Him through these inevitable storms. May He be your strength in weakness and a mighty help in times of trouble and need. Amen

  6. Cheryl, May God carry each of you through each day as you trust in Him. Praising Him for your marriage and that you are there for him. Thankful that we can uphold you in prayer at this time.

    Blessings,

    Jo
