Good morning. We took a drive yesterday to visit with my SIL at a new cabin he and my daughter purchased recently. It is a log cabin, which needs quite a bit of TLC. The lot is a jungle, and he has been hard at work to make it inviting. I only wish my daughter could have been there, as well. It is over an hour to get there, but through some very scenic countryside. What a beautiful world our Creator has given us!
That must be such a peaceful setting…a cabin in the woods. Thankful for the blessing of it for your dear family Kathaleena.
We were awakened to rain, lightening and thunder in the middle of the night…such a surprise and blessing. It is an event that rarely happens around here and we enjoy it when it does happen!
A day to clean and organize. I had been dealing with a dull ache in my ear for over a week and saw my doc yesterday. Thankfully no infection but a scar/scab on my eardrum. For now I will take OTC meds to keep the eustachian tube cleared and see how it goes…I have had a life long battle with these ears! I cannot hear well with them but am thankful to the Lord for giving them to me!
Yes, NJ, we are thankful for the parts that don’t work right, always remembering we could be totally without them 🙂
That cabin does sound really nice and the drive to it is icing on the cake. We have a nice but long drive to my brother’s home. It goes through some country where people have horses.
I have been doing some paperwork today. I try to alternate it with household chores.
I miss son being here. He went back to begin the new semester yesterday. He had stayed in his room all day on Monday grading finals and getting his grades submitted for the summer online classes he taught. He’d been a bit under the weather so I think that too played into him staying isolated. He made it back in time to meet with a co-presenter for faculty kick-off today.
On a sad note, our Gemma kitty seems to be struggling, she’s gotten wobbly in the last 12 hours. She is still not eating as she needs to, despite us sticking a variety of foods in front of her constantly, day and night. I think it may be time.

All my friends are getting hearing aids. I’m not quite there yet, but probably not far off.
Getting old is not for the faint of heart.

Please pray for Cheryl, this is her baby kitty.
