  5. “Democrats just proved they’d rather keep healthcare broken than let Americans get cheaper coverage.

    House Republicans passed a bill 216-211 that lets everyday people and small businesses band together through association health plans to slash insurance premiums. Only one Republican (Thomas Massie) voted no. Zero Democrats voted yes.

    Why the total opposition? Because lower premiums and more options would undercut their favorite campaign issue. They need high costs and frustration so they can keep running on “healthcare” every election cycle instead of fixing it. Political advantage over actual relief for working Americans.

    The bill now heads to the Senate, where Democrats will almost certainly try to kill it for the same reason.

    They don’t want solutions. They want the issue. That’s the game.”
