  1. my first accident yesterday. A motorcycle came up behind me fast and clipped off my front bumper. On the way home I stopped at the auto body place and they will put it back on this morning

  2. Morning! We were blessed with two short rain showers yesterday and the temps are refreshing this morning!

    So scary those motorcycles can be Jo! Did the guy stop? Here they are now allowed to squeeze between cars at the light and have come so close to scraping my car! Thankful you could get it fixed so quickly.

  3. What a bummer, Jo. Glad it was nothing worse. In some aspects cars are sure not what they used to be. OTOH, they are so much better. Bumpers are not so solid, however.

    Sadly, that pileated died. I am thinking it hit a window in the back of the house and meandered up to the front where he made his way out of that low juniper bush and up to our front porch. He was not flying away even when I ventured close to it, so I assume he could not do that. Sometimes birds are stunned or injured and then fly off later. This one did not recover.

    Feeding tube in the nose, next stop on the adventure.

    Motorcycles cause all kinds of pain and grief. My father always stressed the importance of having nothing to do with them. My mother had an accident with one deemed her fault. The fellow got knocked to the ground and did not get up for a bit.Scary.

    I am glad it was not worse, Jo. Sad to consider that a lot of birds do hit the windows and suffer for it.
