Brrr, here, too. Tomorrow, we start getting warm and then too warm for me. A friend, who was from Arkansas and just returned from a visit there, recently shared the coming temperatures and said he feels like he is back in Arkansas. Moderation would be good, IMO. 🙂
Thank you for the BD greetings. I complete my 69th year and begin my 70th year tomorrow (Sunday).
Mark Twain said, “Before you turn 70, people merely respect you, and you have to behave to maintain that respect. But once you turn 70, they not only respect you, bu they admire you, and even esteem you. And you don’t have to behave.”
The weather has been perfect today. Husband has been high in a pine tree cutting limbs off so it can be cut down. It is a high thick old tree that the woodpeckers have obliterated making it unstable at the base. It would fall on the house as it is on a hill leaning slightly toward the house. Seeing husband way up there tied off on ropes is not for the faint of heart!!!
I stayed on the ground weeding and taking branches off of the rope as he lowered them. Some were heavy and I could not budge them! There is a lot of firewood in that one pine!
When two of my grandsons drove into work yesterday there was an accident in front of the building. A woman had hit a motorcycle as she pulled out of the parking lot and had then run over the man on it. He had passed away but was still on the road with the first responders there. Unfortunately, there was a family with a couple of young children sitting outside and they witnessed the whole thing, too. Pray for these little ones who surely must be traumatized to see such a thing.
I watered out front yesterday and the ground squirrels are destroying my rock retaining wall. Also a bunch of fuzzy weeds just sprouted. It looks terrible. I don’t know where to get help. Praying I’ll find someone at church
Morning! Beautiful sunshine coolish temps. Birds deer and fox all around! Staying home this morning while husband rushes off to set up sound at church. A sad situation Kathaleena. I pray for all those witnessing this tragic death of the motorcyclist and his family. 🙏
That was a terrible thing for them to witness, Kathaleena. I can’t imagine how the parents dealt with it.
I remember once being in downtown Atlanta and pulling around a corner. I saw a man down on the street and started saying to Son to look at the drunk passed out, but then I saw a lady stopped in her car and realized she was horrified that she’d hit the man. I think he died, that he had been a delivery guy or messenger. That was hard but I was so glad we did not see the actual hit.
Morning! Cool and sunny after rain yesterday. Oh that heady scent of pine out there!

Kathleena yesterday: Peter, that is awesome about your granddaughter. Are you able to watch her play?
We got to see a few of her games live when she played nearby, and some of them were live-streamed which we watched.

I felt prompted to pray for Miguel earlier this evening. It was out of the blue. I hope he is well.
