We reached 76 degrees here with crazy wind! Grocery store run and tried to find some outside plants. The freeze last week was not kind to the nursery inventory…I hope they get another shipment of healthy plants soon! Gas is now 4.75 a gallon🥲
Yesterday I ordered a kayak rack that actually lifts the kayak onto your car roof and a kayak cart from REI.
Then I was so excited that I texted two friends and my family The text thread I used for my family I looked at later. The last thread on there was by me last September when I said that I was going home to watch the service for Charlie Kirk. Even asked if anyone wanted to come watch it with me. No long political rant or anything. Now I realized that that one comment stopped the entire thread and my family no longer includes me. There is some inclusion, but very little. I am careful to not talk about politics. But that one comment kicked me out of the family. One daughter emailed me separately and told me that Charlie was a racist. No one else said anything.
Thus you can understand why having my friend Clara and her boyfriend Jack over on Monday was so special. We could talk about anything and were in total agreement What a gift.
Our gas got to $4.29, at some stations then dropped to $4.09. Other stations stayed at $3.99, so I go to one of those. This is the first time in this small city that there was such a gap in prices. It’s usually 10¢ difference at most. A few weeks ago there was a 50¢ difference. A woman I work with who grew up here says gas never has gone over $4, ever.
