“Ed Whelan told National Review readers for a year that Boasberg was a straight shooter and the Trump administration was making frivolous legal arguments. Now Boasberg has been both reversed by the Supreme Court and mandamused by the DC Circuit for failing to do his duty.”

It’s either a joke or Trump is getting medical advice from RFK; and of course the latter is also a joke. Then again Trump and Leavitt mixed up the messaging on the Jesus photo — he said he was a doctor while she said the photo was doctored….. not sure who was listening in the morning p.r. meeting. When it comes to medical advice, the Trump admin is probably not the place to go.
Steyer had a late conversion on the road to Damascus experience. ICE is of course a criminal enterprise — its mostly private enterprises fraudulently overcharging homeland security to run sub-human concentration camps. The more ICE prisoners the money they make the more they donate to politicians the more the politicians insist on more round-ups. It’s a more complex variant of a judge sending kids to a privately run juvenile home despite the minor nature of the crimes. The company of course donated to his re-election. Never put the profit motive in the justice system or any part of the state security apparatus.
ICE officials are federal law enforcement officers. All ICE law enforcement officers go through extensive academy training to do their job as safely and effectively as possible.
They are now under DHS and not INS. State does NOT usurp Federal! So give it a try
In hopes Steyer has a genuine road to Damascus conversion…,there is only ONE and he will know it when it happens. Bet he won’t be a Democrat any longer if it happens…,
“President Trump and First Lady Trump’s vision for foster care is one family for every one child. Currently, there are two children for every available foster family because the Biden Administration was excluding an entire class of foster families due to their religious beliefs.
Catholic Charities USA and its affiliates receive substantial government funding, often totaling over $1 billion to nearly $3 billion annually, frequently accounting for roughly two-thirds of their total budget. These funds come from federal, state, and local sources, often for social services, refugee resettlement, and immigration-related programs
It cracks me up that some defend the Pope and think the President is oh so mean to him. These same defenders cry separation of church and state…go figure par for the course if you are left leaning…
I thought my sarcasm and disdain for Steyer was obvious. Like most Democrats and Republicans (ie Uniparty) he has profited from the security state and its for profit nature. Swalwell and Steyer are more or less the same — personally I like Katie Porter.
NJ — ICE is federal but the detention centres are run by for-profit corporations. ICE officers were well trained but last year’s hiring binge downgraded the necessary training.
Here’s a detailed breakdown of the problems in Texas ICE facilities and yes its a pro-Talerico site but it does outline the problems
I do think the Pope has a thick skin and isn’t bothered by any criticism. I’m amused by how many Trump admin officials seems to think they can debate theology with the Pope. Johnson even asserted he knew more about just war theory. And then there’s Hesgeth mislabelling a quote from Pulp Fiction as a Bible verse.
Well if you want to go there saying Hegseth misquoted something let’s look at the “big guy” himself shall we??
Here is what the pope said,
“Jesus told us, blessed are the peacemakers. But woe to those who manipulate religion and the very name of God for their own military, economic, and political gain, dragging that which is sacred into darkness and filth.”
He went on to call the world “ravaged by a handful of tyrants” who pour billions into weapons while people lack schools, hospitals, and peace.
“Blessed are the peacemakers” is actually in the bible and is a direct quote from Jesus (Matthew
5:9)
The “woe to those who manipulate religion…” part is not anywhere in the Gospels, the letters of the apostles, or any other primary biblical text.
Jesus did pronounce “woes” against the Pharisees and hypocrites in Matthew 23 and Luke 6, but said nothing about military, economic, or political gain
This always happens when a real court gets it.
Trump wins again.
The NTers at National Review who cheered this fraud judge on are hardest hit.

He’s just yet another hypocrite Democrat.
His company makes millions off of ICE contracts. If things are so bad, now we know who to blame.
Of course you’d excuse this bs yet again.
