  1. There is an interesting passage in Jer 49 in which there is a prophecy about Elam, which was in the area where modern-day Iran is, and it talks about Elam being scattered to the four corners of the earth. Elam (Persia) had never been scattered to the four corners of the earth until 1979, when the Shah fell in Iran, and the Islamic radicals took over, and over 1,000,000 Persians fled the country to the four corners of the earth.

At the end of Jer 49, the Lord says that He will bring back the captives of Elam. Because of the current US-Israeli attack on Iran, millions of Iranians in the diaspora are celebrating all over the world. What if there will now be a change in the government in Iran so that it is completely neutralized. What if Iran, who has been Israel’s bitter enemy for the last 47 years, has this complete change of government and Iranians who had been scattered return to their land… what if Jer 49 is being fulfilled before our very eyes, so that Israel then enters a period of peace? The kind of peace that the Bible says has to exist just before the Antichrist rises…

God seems to be doing something special in various Muslim countries in these days to draw millions of Muslims to Himself. These are very interesting days….

  2. “This is the most dishonest reporting we’ve seen in a long time.

Two jihadis threw two IEDs into a crowd of anti-Zohran protesters.

    On video.

Yet NBC reports these bombs were “found.”

And implies they belonged to the conservative protesters.

Truly a new low in journalism.”

It honors Capitol police officers who killed supporters of Donald Trump and lied on witness stands to have them imprisoned and civilly sued.”

  4. So now local CO school boards are designating themselves kings over the federal government??? These delusional leftists sicken me

The Denver school board discussed a major policy amendment that, if passed, will designate all district properties as “Safe Zones” and “Sensitive Locations.”

In practical terms, the proposed policy amendment would restrict federal immigration agents from interacting with students and staff at school without a judicial warrant.

District policy already bans U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials on campus, a policy Denver Public Schools Superintendent Alex Marrero reiterated in the hours after President Donald Trump was sworn in last year, as his administration prepared for a crackdown on illegal immigration.

“BREAKING – The NYPD has just confirmed that the homemade bomb thrown at conservative protesters in New York City by a leftist shouting “Allahu Akbar” was a shrapnel bomb filled with nuts, bolts, and screws that, if successfully detonated, would have killed countless people.”

    x.com/VigilantFox/st…

Maher: “This statement from the administration: ‘The president had the constitutional authority to direct the use of military force because he could reasonably determine that such use of force was in the national interest.’ That’s too vague for you?”

    Schiff: “Totally vague.”

Maher: “Okay. Because that’s from Obama about Libya.””

  7. Tychicus,

Recent comments by American COs that Trump is led by God to create a war to bring Jesus back and then the laying of hands photo spectacle make me wonder which side has the religious fanatics. In the Reformed tradition, we were taught to avoid eschatological predictions and that acting as if we could further God’s plan was hubris. However there was nothing wrong in making observations of how scripture may or may not align with recent events. Speculating in this way was usually limited to Revelations and maybe some of Daniel.

Other prophets like Jeremiah were thought to speak more of their own time period. Jeremiah preached mostly around 600BC at which time there was a Kingdom of Elam that interacted, competed with and fought both the Assyrians and Babylonian. Even before Jeremiah’s time, Elam was in decline through warfare with the Assyrians. As the Assyrians themselves declined, Persia took over and absorbed Elam.

If we take Jeremiah as truthful as I assume you do, its far more reasonable to see he’s talking about the decline of Elam and then its end by the Persians — taking place prior to and during his lifetime. Thus having nothing to do with our timeline. Also worthy to note the Elamites are not Persian — even today the area ruled by Elam is now occupied by Shia Arabs — both in Iran and Iran. In Iran, the area is known as Khuzestan, and it is economically and politically marginalised by central Iran.

Speculation by ordinary people is fine but I get nervous when they are close to the levers of military power.

    • hrw: The main idea is that it is God who is sovereignly in control of world events, and though our speculations about the future are just that, and we can’t know for sure, Jeremiah’s statement about Elam’s destruction seems to take on eschatological aspects.

Many times in the Bible, events can have a fulfillment sometime in past history (pre-fulfillment), but also sometime in the future. In this case, though there is some evidence that Nebuchadnezzar defeated the Elamites around 596 B.C., his subjugation at that time didn’t fulfill this message. Elam became part of the Persian Empire that later conquered Babylon.

In Jer 49:38, God said that He would set His throne in Elam to supervise her destruction, and destroy her king and princes. However, the destruction will not be complete b/c in the latter days God will “bring back the captives of Elam” (v 39). It sure seems like current events to me (even if the players themselves may not know that they are being sovereignly used by God to further His purposes).

  8. Why are you blaming the “left”? I’m a leftist and participation trophies annoy me and most of my political ilk. There’s nothing political about rewarding everyone for everything.

The concept of every body gets a ribbon dates back to the 70s when boomer parents couldn’t deal with the fact their children weren’t all winning. The children who received the awards (GenX) saw through the b.s. but then continued it with their children.

At work, elementary graduation has suffered from too many awards to cancelling awards altogether. I spent the last decade of my career arguing against both. We had appropriate academic, athletics, social/personal awards but some argued we should give more and spread it out (one student winning multiple awards upset some people). Toward the end of my career, admin and the boards (who are far from leftists) argued we should cancel awards. Both were stupid.

And now we have the same “debate” plaguing adults. People have been conditioned to think they deserve more or shouldn’t be allowed to lose. This has become especially apparent with Republicans who can’t accept losing an election (somehow it isn’t fair) or demand a prize — the made up FIFA peace prize comes to mind. It’s obvious shiny ribbons to keep people happy have transcended both political spectrum and generation/age.

  9. New York – -Why use the term “jihadis”; that’s probably worse than using the term “found” as opposed to “thrown”. In both cases, it’s overblown.

You have twenty protesters and 120 counter protesters. One side used pepper spray and the other used a rather simplistic and useless IED. And both sides were full of people under 25 hoping to get some social media clicks. Why care? And finally, Lang should really be charged with “instigating” — he just travels the country trying to instigate trouble for some social media clicks. He’s begging for attention — maybe somebody should have given him more participation ribbons as a child……

NJ — there’s a standard debate about separation of powers between municipal (including school boards), state and federal. The conflict and separation actually helps keep all three powers in check and is probably a good thing.

Reality: The explosive devices were thrown AT anti-Islam protesters by radical Muslim jihadists shouting “Allahu Akbar”

“The NYPD Bomb Squad has conducted a preliminary analysis of a device that was ignited and deployed at a protest yesterday and has determined that it is not a hoax device or a smoke bomb. It is, in fact, an improvised explosive device that could have caused serious injury or death.

Further analysis will be conducted, including on a second device.

Emir Balat and Ibrahim Kayumi were arrested on scene yesterday and are in custody in connection with this matter. The NYPD is working on this investigation with our partners at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York and the FBI through our Joint Terrorism Task Force.

I want to again thank the brave members of the NYPD who ran towards the danger without hesitation and quickly apprehended the suspects.”

  11. Once again, David French exposes himself for the fraud he is.

    https://x.com/i/status/2030703171278946433

“French not only argues that Talarico shines as “decent,” he says Talarico shows what it looks to be “kind” on the campaign trail. Think about that, this man advocates for the murder of the unborn and the most extreme forms of perversion.

Yet French finds him a decent and kind public example of Christianity as if all Christ requires is that we say things in a Mr. Rogers cadence and vocabulary.

This is why it’s so important to remember what Romans 16:18 tells us about what false teachers looks like. They will fool the naïve through smooth talk and flattery. Such qualities are rarely perceived as abrasive or offensive.

Scripture tells you to run from men like this. French tells you to embrace him.”

  12. The problem of your”separation of powers” scenario would be usurping the laws of our land and constitutional law. Already this usurpation is happening in this state being a Sanctuary state for criminals …. for which our citizens pay the price in costs, crime and personal safety. Now where do you suppose those illegal criminals go for safe haven… the schools where children go to LEARN!!?? Oh wait not really when the teachers are marching their students out to the highway with anti ICE posters protesting….during school hours! And yes that happened in the closest town to us for which we pay taxes! They’ve already tried safe haven in churches here and that didn’t go over so well and this won’t either
