  1. sunshine here after snow yesterday. I took a walk when it was 39 degrees and figured out how many layers to wear the knit hat with a scarf and hoodie worked well

while walking I noticed which homes had snow on the roof and which ones had lost their snow due to poor insulation. Then I drove home to check my house. Happy to report that even with the furnace on all day my snow was intact. A very good sign

  2. Morning! We were predicted to have snow from 9-5 but… we have blue skies and sunshine😢 12 degrees

The mountains are being pummeled with snow and blocking our chances…interesting how that happens

  3. We remove the bottom 4 – 5 feet of snow off our roof to prevent ice damming. The snow starts to melt up top due to the warm sunshine, but then freezes when it hits the eaves due to the cold air. This then can cause the melting snow to back up under the shingles which is not good. We had a total of 17 inches of snow (ish) on Tuesday into Wednesday – we don’t usually get that much at one time. We get lots but more spread out over time.

  4. What Kare said. That is why I will take and complain about the heat of the summer over the weather up North that requires so much more effort to deal with. At least at this point, we turn the AC on and fans and use iced drinks to help deal with the heat. But I do prefer coolish weather, 40s to 50s, over the 100+ degree weather.

  5. But snow can also be so fun. It’s hilarious to watch Tim removing the snow from the roof and getting avalanched on! Of course, I’m inside, but he enjoys that type of stuff. I realize it will get much harder as we get older but I’m sure glad he likes to get out and shovel, and plough and do all the things with joy.

But… I would not complain if we were warm all the time😉
