  1. Good morning!

I took one of my elderly friends to Roswell yesterday. She had an ENT appointment. Then we shopped all over town. We met our former pastors wife for lunch. It was a nice visit, but sad to see her cognitive decline.

Baking today. Tomorrow we go to Las Cruces to see family. Miguel finally told his daughter about his heart issues. She is supposed to meet us.

  2. Janice, you asked about lasting relationships from homeschooling. My girls still have some, but it is hard with just Trey. He has some good friendships from youth group. Not sure how those will last. He has one friend that has been close for about 4 years.

We have gone to funerals for his uncle and great grandmother. It makes a closeness when you are there during your friend’s grief.

  3. RKessler, sounds like you are getting to enjoy some of the seasonal activities even in the midst of the difficulties of life.

I skipped Bible study group this morning. I felt like I needed to rest more. The extra activities over the weekend made me feel the need for more downtime. And it is still pretty cold though later warming into the 50s.

  4. RKessler, that sounds similar to our experience. Our son had friends within the groups he was in while doing activities, but they were not ever for the long term. I hope Trey will be able to make lifelong friends when he goes to college or trade school. When I mention college to people these days, some are down on that route now.

  5. Yes, I agree Janice. His best friend is not a homeschooling, but they have gone to church camp together a few times. His mom is best friends with my niece. She has recently been saved and is on fire for the Lord.

  6. Hey all! It is a lovely spring day here in the forest…tomorrow they are predicting a plummet in temps with 60 mph winds! Hold onto your hat!!

A dear dear friend came over and I made breakfast for her. She is on the frontline of visiting with our other friend who has Parkinson’s and Lewy Body Dementia. It is taking a toll on her to be there but our friend becomes agitated with just about everyone at this point. My friend D seems to be the only one she doesn’t yell at to get out! So so hard…

  7. I love the ornaments on your trees, AJ. And your kitty comforts my heart. Such a sweet Christmas scene.

Our little tree that has brightened our entryway will not light up. I have to wait for our son to see if he can fix it. I dare not try to climb a ladder right now. So I will enjoy the lights of others which is pleasant enough.
