  1. Now that we’ve been thankful, let’s remember to continue in thankfulness throughout the coming mayhem of December.

We’ve got a snow storm headed our way. with 4-8″ predicted over the next 48 hours. Good thing I’ve got 4 wheel drive.

    Enjoy your Friday.

  2. Lol, Jo, those turkeys know where they will be safe, apparently.

My apple pie was absolutely delicious. I was afraid the crust would stick to the bottom, but it did not.

We had a wonderful, traditional meal.

Best part was getting to see my grandson and great-granddaughter, although it was a brief visit. The granddaughter’s mother refused to come. She is treated well better than she treats the family. We can only pray for this ‘family.’

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

  3. That’s so sad, Kathaleena. Praying for salvation for that whole little family.

When Nightingale was with X (the young man, not the formerly Twitter site 😀 ), he would usually refuse to come to our family holiday celebrations. In his case, it was probably related to his narcissism and desire to have control over Nightingale.

  4. Good afternoon. The pumpkin pie is all gone!

We’ve been running errands this morning.

The weather is sunny and cold here. 33° started us out. I enjoy wearing the winter clothes for a short time. I hope those who are getting all the snow have many reasons to appreciate it. I think it is lovely to gaze at while gently falling. That is my favorite thing about it.

All those turkeys, Jo, lol. You could do a little song about the turkeys like the five little piggies song.

This little turkey didn’t go to market, this little turkey ran from home . . .

  5. Oh what a lovely warmish day it is today! Tomorrow’s high is 26…today 53…look out barometric pressure sufferers here comes a couple cold blasts! I am preparing myself with ibuprofen, Flonase and lots of liquids…the headaches can be brutal!

Oh Jo that would have been a splendid photo on Thanksgiving day! They must know they are safe at your house?!

We are thankful for the quiet of the day here yesterday. This has been a rough year on so many levels yet we lean in to the Saviour for peace and comfort…and there we find just that. Oh so thankful.

I called my Mom yesterday after she returned home from my niece’s home for Thanksgiving. She was so very tired but so thankful. How thankful I am that she has become kind, thankful and sweet in her older years…she will be 96 in February and that still shocks her!

  6. So, I got an email notice from social security about the cost of living increase, so I went online to check it out.

Yes, I will be receiving more, but they are taking more out for medicare so I will actually be receiving less!!!!

Part D, prescription drugs, was 7 dollars a month in 2022 Last year it was 50 and this year it is 100 a month.

    So much for the raise.

    Jo
