I made and froze an apple pie to bring. It is in the oven. Unfortunately, it was thawed (in the fridge) and tipped a bit, so a whole lot of juice escaped. I had to dab the top crust with a paper towel. I am sure it will be fine anyway. These setbacks always teach us something new. Smart young people learn it from us instead of learning it the hard way.
We missed the Thanksgiving service because the roads were too slippery.
Interesting about cooking a frozen turkey, Cheryl. I pray it will be a wonderful time for you and your spouse this weekend. That is a challenge, and it seems you have planned well.
Our Thanksgiving will be tomorrow at Nightingale’s apartment. Today, I am enjoying a relaxing day having squeezed in my usual weekly chores in the first three days.
Happy Thanksgiving during the After Stuffing hours. It was all good. Most everything is put away. Dishes still need to be washed. I put the squash casserole outside to finish cooling for fridge storage. I hope no animal discovers it. I really liked the squash casserole and now have another option for something to carry to potlucks.

Butterball is in the oven and the house smells like home. I do love these special days set aside as they evoke many sweet memories.
And I love the sweet aroma of a fresh apple pie baking in the oven Kathaleena…I am certain it will come out lovely
