Good morning, all. We will be getting some last things done to leave tomorrow for Thanksgiving at our daughter’s home. Snow is coming, so we will want to get there before the worst hits. It is time for snow, of course. It always takes people awhile to acclimate driving in it, it seems. Defensive driving is definitely needed. I am not sure how it is around all of you, but people seem to drive very fast and carelessly these days. I cannot tell you how many near misses we have seen or accidents avoided. Passing on yellow lines or not bothering with actually stopping at signs and lights seems to happen way too often. Everyone is in a hurry. Is your life or that of your loved ones that important? No.
Good morning. Another day, another doc visit. Going into the parking deck now.
Yes, Kathaleena. Crazy drivers, and ever more and more in this metro area. As fewer people value life, they take more risks. I pray daily over vehicles for safety.
sunny days here for this week but still chilly of course. I go back to the doc tomorrow
a story turned bad last and I read something I shouldn’t. Trying to get it out of my head, I went to bed and listened to this beautiful voice read from psalm 117 to 140 just lovely. It was in the free ESV app
Jo, I am sorry to hear that you got in too deep in a bad story. Thanks for not sharing it! I had a friend that shared something that had scared her from a suspense novel, and I still remember it. Creepy imaginings or even true life stories of writers on the edge can be used by the evil one to harass believers. So glad you had the word to wash through your mind..
I bought a Greenwise fresh turkey this morning to cook on Wed. The guy in the meat department said it was good I got there when I did because they would soon sell out.
The weather is perfect for today so I will continue working in the yard to rearrange the fallen leaves. I use my rake like a paintbrush, lol
Monday once again! Beautiful sun shiny weather here in the 40’s. The wee bit of snow we saw last night lingers on the hill down by the road but ’tis a sweet memory of snowflakes falling.
Transplants to Colorado think all they must do is to purchase a Subaru or Jeep and drive like it’s a normal day in the snow and ice. Perhaps that is why our insurance rates are the highest in the nation!
A 12 pound butterball will be on the table coming this Thursday for the 3 of us. All the fixin’s are the best part for me…veggies, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, sourdough bread made by a local baker and pumpkin pie of course!!
Our personal bank account got hacked. Now for all the effort it takes to close the account . . . the bank will cover the 3,000 paid from our account to Discover by the thief.

Snow driving: Take your life in your hands, especially when those with 4 wheel drive think they can still do 70 mph safely.

We have temps in the forties, too, right now. Makes winter seem far away. It should come in with a bang, apparently, tomorrow.
