  1. Good morning. Today is an 18th birthday party for a young friend. Tomorrow is the memorial service for our 35 yr. old godson. Life is full of joys and sorrows. I am glad we have a God who showed us emotion through His Son and whose book tells us to weep with those who weep and celebrate joys also.

  2. RK yesterday @ 9:46am – Peter, how is Mrs L? How was the class reunion?

She’s fine, fully recovered. The class reunion went well. I reconnected with people I haven’t seen in 50 years.

  3. Morning! Chilly start to the day but supposed to reach 50. The sunrise was spectacular!

A coyote has been circling our property for a couple of days and this morning has been lurking for over an hour. Little fox came to take her nap and I told her she needed to run for cover…she just left. She certainly has endeared herself with us!

Kathaleena our emotions can seem so conflicted at times. So many I love and have loved going through deep trauma. While others celebrating some of life’s greatest blessings. Continually asking Him to help navigate through it all…Praying for you as you encourage and support others this day…

  4. Yesterday Art slipped getting out of his office chair and caught himself before falling but managed to pull a muscle. Bro took him to Urgent Care this morning. Nothing is broken thankfully. He was given some prescription pain patches. He is home recuperating. My Bro fell recently and gashed his forehead and has two black-eyes. Urgent Care was not sure which one was the patient. Laugh, it is funny!

Getting old is not for sissies, obviously.

  5. So sorry to hear of the mishaps Janice!

Husband and I were going over his list of ailments this morning and we had to laugh realizing we were talking like old people…well we are so now is the time!

They are playing Christmas music at Walmart and Goodwill! The two places I stopped in today. I came home and put all my gourds, pumpkins and leaves away! I have Christmas carols playing and put up a little tree in the family room…come one we only have about seven weeks to soak it in! And if Chas was here I would tell him Bing has sung White Christmas in my house…let the decorating begin!

  6. NJ – I usually make myself wait until right after Thanksgiving to decorate for Christmas. However, last year I was feeling pretty down for some reason, so I switched over to Christmas decor halfway through November.

I just might do that again this year! 🙂

  7. See what you started Kizzie…

Now Cheryl is walking around the house singing “Oh Christmas Tree.”

I told her to knock that off, we haven’t had turkey yet.

  9. NJ – I have a confession. . . The Christmas tree has been up for almost two years! It is not decorated, but it does have the lights on it. We just never got around to taking it down, neither after Christmas 2023 nor Christmas 2024. 😀 After a while, it just seemed to belong there in the corner of my dining room.

(That is only separated from the kitchen with a counter and half-wall, with an open space to walk from one to the other, so the tree is easily visible even if one does not go into the dining room.)

Now that evenings are going to be dark earlier, I may start turning on the tree lights soon.

  10. Oh I like your style Kizzie! I just moved the rubber tree plant downstairs to make a spot for the big tree. When it’s dark at 5 o’clock I believe I’ll need more lights on!🎄😊

  11. Since Kizzie confessed, so will I.

Because we have cats, we put up a small Christmas tree and some decorations high up on a dresser.

The display changes for Easter and Halloween, and Thanksgiving but some of the small Christmas trees remain all year.

    They just live there now.

    I totally understand Kizzie…

  12. Y’all are inspiring me to put up our little artificial snow covered tree high in the entry way to show lights above the porch doorway. I can the the first in the neighborhood to have Christmas showing at our house 🙂 That would be a first for us in over 40 years!

  13. My tree won’t go up until December, which is actually early as my family always put it up on Christmas eve, which was my brothers birthday. It was just me in PNG so I only decorated the classroom and we did have a tree there.

I still get on Facebook and I am noticing a huge difference. I think a lot of the content is now AI generated.
