Good afternoon. I did some shopping and cooking this morning and sweeping and raking leaves this afternoon. I have picked up my crochet hook and have attempted to do what I used to do. I have found I can still make a granny square, but need to figure out how I made the small dishrags to give as a gift to my brother for Christmas. Single crochet is very difficult with my poor vision, but double is okay.
Happy Thursday….and may our bless each and every one! Thanks for that blessing this morning Kathaleena!
We tried out a new little restaurant in Palmer Lake for brunch. Sweet place hardly no one was there but the food was excellent and the owner oh so kind.
Janice I have been making gifts for friends at Christmas but have run out of ideas and friends! This has been an interesting year of friends dropping out of my life for unknown reasons and some reasons known. It should be a very quiet Thanksgiving and Christmas for us this year…
It is sad to lose several during the same time period, NJ. You will probably meet some new ones before long if you are able to be in a group of some type that brings people together with common interests.
I have been out for a short walk with my new friend. It was fascinating to find out that we both worked for the Dept of Natural Resources but at different times. I left in 1989 after having our son, and she began in 1991.
I usually make some homemade gifts. Some are food, like spiced nuts or cookies. Some are sewn, such as microwave bowls, hot pads or pillowcases. I’m not sure if I will get any done or not.
I used to do cross stitch, but cannot do it anymore due to my eyesight, Janice. It is frustrating not to be able to do things, but I am grateful for the vision I have. My mother had better vision than I did until she died.
May God bless you all today.
