Good morning. Our daughter and her two youngest daughters are here for the weekend. Always a joy to have them here. They will come with us to an assisted living facility to hear some music. I hope to make ice cream with them at some point. It should be a fun busy weekend.
We had our furnace checked today and filter changed. The guy asked me to set the thermostat 5 degrees higher which put it at 76°. I told him my husband and I could not see well enough to do that so he set it. Unfortunately, he left it like that. I was able to figure out how to set it and hold it for 30 days at 70°. I need to see if I can find the little instruction booklet for the thermostat. Since paperwork is so hard for me to go through with poor vision, it will be a God-sized project.
Janice, we have heating on the mind also. I need to get up on the roof and clean the chimney. Trey and I also need to get the wood pile stacked and under control. I am tired of being cold. We always try to hold off as long as possible for the first fire of the year.

What a day! (Last night, actually) We’re on our way to Tucson for my 50th class reunion. Mrs L had stomach pains, but we thought it was nothing serious. Last night at the hotel she woke me up in severe pain. We went to the ER and it’s a kidney stone. So, we’re at a hospital in Amarillo waiting for surgery. We hope to at least get to Tucson in time for the dinner tomorrow night, but have to miss a mixer tonight and a few activities tomorrow.
Praying surgery goes well, Peter. Nothing quite like that to disrupt travel plans. We can empathize with y’all at our house. Hopefully she will soon feel back to 100%. Enjoy what you can of the trip. Sorry to hear the meetup won’t happen this time. I think M and Kevin almost got to meet recently.

Ack, I did it again! I think I know how I did it, I just don’t understand why it did it 20 times and not just two or three. It’s a keyboard shortcut I use all the time in Slack (our instant message system at work). My apologies. I’ll try to remember not to use that shortcut here.
Surgery done, stone is out. We might get released today, even, so we’ll make part of tomorrow’s activities.
I see Kevin wants us to know about his near misses. I’ve met Kim (where has she been lately), Jo, Pauline (if you remember her), the current NJ (not NJLawyer) and RK. Almost met Kizzie many years ago when we were in CT, but it didn’t pan out.
I have met Kim, Chas, Jo, and M, all great times! With Kim, Jo and M it was an extended meet up that lasted more than a day. With Chas it was for a meal and visit at his home with Elvera. Sweet to remember. They were so precious.
When I saw 24 messages on Wandering views I knew Kevin was being chatty again!!😂
Thankful the Mrs is out of surgery and on the way to no pain Peter. Praying still.
I have met Peter, his Mrs and Jo… we came thiiiis close to having dinner with Chas…how sweet that would have been. One day we will meet before the King of Glory!! Amen!❣️
