Good morning! Tonight is my last shift as a full time employee. I have finally, (semi) caught up on the blog. Thankyou for the anniversary greetings. So happy to hear Kim’s good news.
I will try to become a faithful contributor. I have found that you can only be emotionally invested in a certain number of things at a time. I think I will have that now.
Congratulations, rkessler! I am looking forward to hearing you more often.
It is a gray day with spots of yellow, red and green. The tamaracks are starting to turn gold. Those can be so bright, especially when there is a whole forest of them.
We are near record highs for Oct. with one high 2 degrees more than the expected, and that dates back to 1935.
There was a terrible crash on an expressway where a tractor trailer truck smashed a van from behind. Eight members of a family were killed in the resulting fire. One of the three adults was pregnant, so the truck driver has been charged for infanticide along with the eight deaths. Five children and three adults were about thirty minutes from home. I think another van was involved and it was transporting cats. I need to check that story to see if I heard it correctly. I thought they said 38 cats and all were located except for three. But that seems so crazy that I need to see if I heard correctly. Anyways, a horrible accident. I pray all the deceased were saved though the youngest child was maybe two.
Hi Rk…it’s always good to see you here and I pray you will be afforded much more time for yourself and doing the things you love!
I spent over five hours with my two dear friends today. We discussed our precious friend in memory care and we cried, laughed and shared memories of her. Our emotions are raw as S is not faring well these days. I made a soup that we all four had for years at our favorite hangout which closed quite a few years ago…it was comforting and transported us back in time. God is so good and we continue to trust Him to make His presence known to S….

About the cats/kittens from a rescue shelter . . . 37 in total . . . 2 missing. Can you imagine rounding them up?
