We are at 39 or 41 degrees, depending on where you look. My husband brings our garbage to the dump. Some families around us do have it picked up. I am not sure who even does that right now. We do have to pay to leave our garbage except for recyclables. You can get a card for a certain amount and have it punched for every large bag.
That is interesting to consider from my limited point of view, Kathaleena. I don’t think we have the option of taking things to a dump. Is the dump far from where you live? Atlanta has a humongous landfill that can be seen from one of the expressways Art takes to work. It can often be smelled, depending on how the wind is blowing, long before you get there. We do have a recycling place at the Farmer’s market where we can take glass which is not picked up on the street.
Morning! Cold and blustery to start our week with possible showers later on. We have garbage pick up but there is a dumping station not far away. They are expensive but convenient. We took our old dishwasher there and a wicker chair that had been eaten by the squirrels!
Garbage pickup here is challenging due to expense and non reliability. We switch companies in April and thus far they are great due to small business and integrity.
Good Monday Morning! The garbage trucks are rolling through on schedule. We get to start the week with cans ready to fill.
Currently the temp is 52°, creeping downward each week as the daylight hours get squeezed into a shorter time frame.
Art left at 4 a.m. because it is extension deadline week.

It’s about a 15-minute drive to the dump. There is another place we can get leftover paints or bring those types of things.
