  1. Bright morning sunlight here. There are lots of leaves on the ground, but many more to fall. The small crab apples are red, some are reddish/yellow. Those are the ones the birds eat last. The deer like to eat them, too. The robins have been eating the small red ones. I discovered we have a piebald robin. I had never seen one before, so that was fun.

  2. I thought I’d posted, but must have gotten distracted.

We started at 57° and have gone up to 59°. I swept crispy leaves out of the carport and from the driveway. I thought of Rice Krispies: Snap, Crackle, and Pop!

Yesterday I took a long walk, a m8le and a half, but for some that would be a short walk. I thought of how l9ng ago we would walk twice that with our dog, Smoky.

  3. Morning! Coolish and spitting rain here.
The new neighbor decided it to be good to feed the deer to draw them in…they came through last night and ate all the remaining plants they shouldn’t like! They even chomped my tansy for the first time ever. My beautiful begonia has been sheared down to the roots!

Now I need to look up piebald robin! 😁

  4. what a busy week Missionaries to the homeless are here from Portland. But they flew and now need someone to take all the blankets to Portland. I have a son there but not sure that I’m up for a 12 hour drive

  5. Our walks are shorter these days also, Janice. What makes me somewhat sad and is when I realize that a few weeks ago we were out walking in the evening. Now it gets dark so early that I just want to go to bed! Wait until Daylight Savings Time. 😀

  6. It has been a lovely fall day here. Church then home for lunch and a nap! We were busy yesterday with household chores and it completely wore us out. We skipped our evening walk but then again it was spitting rain and that would not have been fun.

We usually go anywhere from 2-3 miles on our walk in the area and it is a good stretch of the legs! Motivation proves to be a challenge at times

Our sweet little fox showed up this evening with a limp…we wonder what happened and we hope she will make a full recovery. She is just the sweetest little one and will curl up under a tree close by as we sit out on the property…how I love His creation!
