Look, the guy apparently lied about his credentials, he’s clearly in the country illegally, and he’s breaking quite a few laws. He isn’t qualified for his job. But to exaggerate the case by saying he has a “violent” criminal record isn’t helpful. Back when Chicago didn’t allow anyone but police to own handguns, I knew some people who owned guns for home defense. Those guns were illegal, but that didn’t make the gun owners violent people.
