  1. Good morning to all. Rain here this morning. We will start having some very chilly weather. It is just a reminder of what is coming. We humans need lots of reminders. Some of the trees already have some beautiful red and orange leaves.

  2. Re: Loud music at church

I agree that I don’t like rock concerts with a sermon. But I visited a church where the organist had the volume on full and that’s all I could hear. I could barely hear my own voice!

However, I’ve been in churches where the congregation sang loudly, which is much more heavenly. Loud voices singing in worship is what we’ll have in heaven with the myriads of angels praising the Lord.

  3. Question of the day–what is your favorite thing about fall? Do you like seasons or prefer more steady year-round weather? What do you dislike about fall?

I love the crisp, cool days of fall. I love the fall colors as the leaves change color. I love apple pies, cider and hot cocoa coming into season.

    I love all the seasons.

I used to dislike that fall meant my children would be back in school. I enjoyed our time together. Even now, I know my grands will be back in school and visiting time becomes more limited.

  4. Just getting caught up – praying for Mumsee and fam, for Michelle’s foot, belated happy anniversary to NJ and P! Our 41st anniversary was yesterday – we took the scenic route up to Waskesiu for ice cream and people watching. (Something we used to do back in the dating days)

We’re in the throes of getting the last of the garden in – frost is forecast for tonight, so I want the tomatoes and peppers in today. So far I’ve picked 5 milk crates of tomatoes and that’s only ⅓ of our plants. This year is a salsa making year so we planted extra.

  5. Autumnal temps have been playing around here! 🍂 I love it!

Autumn has to be my favorite. The crisp cool air, sitting out on the porch wrapped in a blanket and drinking coffee! Sweaters, boots, jeans…favorite attire. The Aspens turning gold and orange…the sweet aroma of decaying leaves and listening to those fallen leaves swoosh as we hike along the trail. Pumpkins, gourds, and the earthy colors of the season…

  6. Good afternoon. We spent the morning running errands and then at a urology office. Art will need to get a CT scan soon to see what is going on with his stones that don’t cause pain but get bigger and bigger.

My favorite things about fall: more time outside, ageratum and autumn sedum blooms, crunch of leaves underfoot, colors on trees seen only during autumn, pumpkin anything, cozier clothing, less sweat, school projects that involve whole families (for preschool we did family tree projects), music and sports practice and competitions, hikes in the woods, new season TV shows instead of reruns, mowing less frequently, baking to warm up the house

  7. Mumsee has quietly retreated. She has been desirous of more conversation about spiritual matters and there never seemed to be much sustained conversation along those lines with the curtent Wanderers. I have been texting with her some about things like that. We were in conversation yesterday about my questions regarding baptism in the Holy Spirit.

They seem to be doing well, and have full lives. She is engaging with more Bible study groups since not on here. She and I are both in separate groups studying in Exodus currently.

  8. As others of you have mentioned, I love the cooler temps, the beautiful fall colors of leaves on (and then off) the trees, cozier clothes, the foods and drinks of the season, and of course. . .Pumpkin Spice coffee! 😀

  9. Kizzie what is your favorite Pumpkin Spice coffee? I once ordered it from Starbucks and it tasted like chalk! I kept wondering what in the world was the draw for Pumpkin Spice? I love pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, tomato pumpkin soup…but that coffee was yuck!! Lol

Nj (word won’t let me log in on my iPad!) grrrr

  10. NJ – I buy Vanilla Pumpkin Spice K-cups from Crazy Cups. They also have Pumpkin Caramel Spice, which tastes nice, but not quite as much of the pumpkin spice flavor as the others. And when Emily buys Pumpkin Spice creamer, that is even better!

Although I buy mine from the Crazy Cups site, they are also available on Amazon, which is where I first bought Crazy Cups coffee. It is now my go-to for K-cups.
