This kind of reminds me of those shiny metal slides we flew down as kids. It would burn our legs and behinds as we played but it didn’t detour us much. Wonder if the risk will be worth the heat??
In a display of pragmatic and innovative problem-solving, the Department of Homeland Security, under the leadership of Secretary Kristi Noem, has executed a strategic masterstroke at the southern border by initiating the process of painting the barrier black. This ingenious tactic, a direct request from President Donald Trump, leverages basic thermal science to enhance national security, yet has, as expected, triggered a wave of performative outrage from Democrats and their allies in the liberal media. While the administration focuses on effective, real-world solutions, the left appears more invested in crafting hyperbolic soundbites designed to obscure the policy’s sheer effectiveness.
The rationale, explained with crystal clarity by Secretary Noem during a press conference in Santa Teresa, New Mexico, is a testament to the Trump administration’s commitment to practical and cost-effective deterrence. “Now, if you look at the structure that’s behind me, it’s tall, which makes it very, very difficult to climb, almost impossible. It also goes deep into the ground, which would make it very difficult, if not impossible, to dig under. And today, we are also going to be painting it black,” Noem stated. She continued, “That is specifically at the request of the president, who understands that in the hot temperatures down here, when something is painted black, it gets even warmer, and it will make it even harder for people to climb.”
More “middle school bullies”??? Not a chance…the left gun haters using guns? Go figure…
Law enforcement evacuated parts of the Texas Capitol late Tuesday after a social media threat. The evacuation, which began around 6:30 p.m., came as demonstrators protested a Republican move requiring Democratic lawmakers to remain in the building unless they accepted a police escort to their homes.
The threat, posted by an unidentified individual, urged people to “take action by shooting and killing those who will not allow lawmakers to leave,” according to the Department of Public Safety. The scare stalled the legislative session as Republicans sought to advance proposals on flood victim aid and new congressional maps.
“I have nothing against diversity, equity, and inclusion. But as Voltaire said about the Holy Roman Empire: it was neither holy, nor Roman, nor an empire.”
My BiL worked for a decade in the field. He says it’s tragic how much is wasted on special needs babysitting, rather than actual education for the kids who have the ability to learn. Waste is rampant. But if school systems don’t comply, lawsuits are filed. The state says you will educate them, even when they’re mentally unable to learn much.
“To remain competitive worldwide, the most important thing is to nurture our geniuses…America now spends more than ten times as much on special education for the low-IQ students as it spends on special education for gifted students”
“U.S. Federal Housing FHFA, alleges in a Criminal Referral to the Department of Justice that Federal Reserve Governor, Lisa D. Cook, committed mortgage fraud by designating her out of state condo as her primary residence, just two weeks after taking a loan on her Michigan home where she also declared it as her primary residence.
When someone commits mortgage fraud, they undermine the faith and integrity of our System.
It does not matter who you are – no one is above the law.
We have sent a Criminal Referral to the Department of Justice with regard to the allegations against Ms. Cook, and the DOJ should go wherever the facts may lead them.”
“This is a screenshot from American Academy of Pediatrics’ webpage, thanking the organization’s top corporate donors. These four companies make virtually every vaccine on the CDC recommended childhood vaccine schedule. AAP is angry that CDC has eliminated corporate influence in decisions over vaccine recommendations and returned CDC to gold-standard science and evidence-based medicine laser-focused on children’s health.
AAP today released its own list of corporate-friendly vaccine recommendations. The Trump Administration believes in free speech and AAP has a right to make its case to the American people. But AAP should follow the lead of HHS and disclose conflicts of interest, including its corporate entanglements and those of its journal—Pediatrics—so that Americans may ask whether the AAP’s recommendations reflect public health interest, or are, perhaps, just a pay-to-play scheme to promote commercial ambitions of AAP’s Big Pharma benefactors.
AAP should also be candid with doctors and hospitals that recommendations that diverge from the CDC’s official list are not shielded from liability under the 1986 Vaccine Injury Act.”
Read a few articles on painting the border wall black but failed to see any performative outrage from Democrats. There has been some legitimate criticism based on its effectiveness and cost. Metal will attract heat and its questionable that black paint will help attract more heat. One could call the black paint performative. Similar of course to Trump’s actions in California and DC.
The walls effect is pretty limited in that you simply go to locations where there are none or just present yourself at the border as a refugee. And with proper footwear and clothing, the metal, black or not, will not be an issue.
The actual left in the US love their guns. The Democratic party not so much. The Texas Republican actions — placing the opposition party under conditions similar to house arrest — are fascist-like. Perhaps the left has absorbed the NRA rhetoric of 2nd Amendment solutions when the government becomes tyrannical. Then again its Texas, everybody loves their guns. I’m sure we can blame metal illness — works for school shooters.
Rick Scott symbolises the rot that is the Republican party. He committed medicare fraud and yet here he is protecting more fraudulent opportunities. Apparently Marjore Taylor Greene was worth $700k before becoming a House Re. She’s now worth at least $25 million.
Trump of course has an amazing crypto scam going plus he has merch for sale at the White House. I saw a great pic of him showing off the merch to Zelensky and Macron. Included was a Trump 2028 hat.
It’s not actually a waste but mis-allocated resources. Learning Resource teachers spend more time on paper work than teaching, Educational Assistants spend more time on behaviour than assisting in the curriculum. When class sizes exceed 25 students, special needs students will be neglected by the classroom teacher and EAs are left with little direction.
Gifted students are not geniuses that will increase a nation’s competitiveness. Most are on the spectrum and have mental health issues. Sure some might have a career in computers, finance or insurance, but many of them will have trouble finishing school or holding down a job. While it’s true they are often neglected in terms of special ed funding, their needs are more psychological and personality driven, something school systems are not designed to provide.
Can we stop with the Trump ended conflicts — he didn’t. As I explained before he actually made the Gaza and Ukraine conflicts worse. The other conflicts had nothing to do with him. Honestly, I’d give him credit if he deserved but all I see is more dead bodies and ethnic cleansing. Let me clarify, I think he made Gaza worse (if that was possible). In the Ukraine I do think he’s forced the other players to think about an end game only because he seems intent on imposing a deal that favours Russia. Under Biden, I think NATO was comfortable with bleeding Russia out in a prolonged war. Now they have to change their focus.
I’m not sure he’s trolling people (evangelicals, democrats, ?? not sure who??) with his peace for heaven comment. However, I have to wonder why he thinks achieving a peace treaty will get him into heaven with his name still in the Epstein files among his other sins (sex assault, fraud, etc). It was a bizarre interview. Merkel said he thinks everything is a transaction but I have to wonder if that’s how he views religion, theology or the after life. Just weird. Perhaps JD Vance needs to stop going on vacation and polish off the 25th Ammendment
Now you’re slandering the man with no evidence, even after his enemies like Barr say he’s not mentioned criminally on Epsteins lists, simply a flight log because he once flew on an Epstein aircraft, with his wife.
But sure, I’m the one speaking and sounding like Satan… 🙄
No slander. Trump knew Epstein socially for many years and is said to be in the files. And he’s been reluctant to release them. But if I seriously thought Trump was a pedophile I wouldn’t have voted for him. He’s probably just trying to protect himself or someone else from embarrassment or possible civil lawsuit. That’s just a guess. As I’ve said, I’m not paying a lot of attention to the details of this issue but I know it’s important, so he should release the files and let the victims get some closure—or what there is to be had of closure. My only real concern is for the victims. Justice, for the most part, will happen on judgement day.
As for sounding like Satan, have a care. Anyone is capable of inadvertently going there. When you say you’ll have concern for the children of Gaza when their parents do, I think you’re doing violence to the cause of Christ, who is concerned for those children. They are not part of the “rot”. Some of those children are Christians, and many are too young to “know their right hand from the left” so to speak. They are being killed, maimed and orphaned with impunity. And to make light of their predicament is a slight against the God who cares for them whether we do or not.
No one has the emotional or intellectual resources to invest themselves into every issue. I know I don’t. But everyone has the ability to show restraint. Including you. But sometimes you sound like your heart is hardened. That’s not a good condition to be in.
A few days ago I was reading in Mark 6 towards the end of the chapter, about the miracle of Jesus feeding the 5000 men with 5 loaves and 2 fishes. The disciples collected 12 baskets of leftover fragments after everyone ate. You know the story. An astounding miracle. Then Jesus sends them across the sea and goes to pray alone. In the early morning hours they’re rowing hard in a storm and he met them walking on the water and calmed the storm. Another astounding miracle. But the scripture says in 6:52 that the disciples were “amazed beyond measure” because their hearts were so hardened that they had not perceived the first miracle of feeding the 5000.
So, having a hardened heart is not primarily about “feelings” ; it’s about your ability to perceive the significance of things you see or hear. Think about that. Perhaps it’s a good idea to think about circumcising our hearts to be in a condition where the enemy finds no toehold in us as we think and write about the things we see and hear. Our perceptions can be clearer and our judgements wiser.
