  1. “The int’l community has been claiming there is starvation in Gaza and Israel and IDF are not doing enough.

So, I went to Gaza to see for myself. What I found at Kerem Shalom crossing was indeed truly shocking.

Over 600 trucks worth of aid – flour, water, perishables – lying idly by, some over a month, waiting for UN to collect and distribute.

Stop playing petty politics. Peoples lives are at risk. The UN cannot blame Israel for starvation in Gaza, when it is them who are refusing to distribute the aid and are letting food rot while innocent people in Gaza suffer.

    Inexcusable and unconscionable!”

  2. The real reason for the Mar a Logo raid. It was to retrieve documents that implicated Obama and Biden.

“This is one of the documents Pres Trump declassified back in 2021, but it was concealed by the Biden DoJ, then seized in the Raid and re-classified by the Biden admin, with the intent of it never seeing the light of the day. But Pres Trump won the election, and his first act in this term was to declassify Crossfire Hurricane documents incl. this one.”

  3. HRW,

You love to come here and tell us everything you think Trump and our govt are doing wrong.

You should police your own first.

“So Trump gets the EU to purchase $750 billion dollars worth of energy, they will invest $600 billion into the US economy. All EU Countries are open to them for business & we have Carney who can’t secure a deal or start a single project in Canada.

    What a disaster.”

Why does nobody talk about it?”

  4. All so sad and heartbreaking for those caught in war and for those who lives were shattered by lies. Not to mention the taxpayers who paid in for government services not to support lies for political purposes.

“ENOUGH! Quebec’s historic Notre Dame des Sept Allégresses Church has been devastated by fire.

110+ Canadian churches burnt or vandalized since the false claim that 215 former Kamloops Indian Residential School kids buried remains had been discovered, was made.

MP @LeahGazan perhaps when you’re done trying to criminalize whatever “residential school denialism” is, you could focus on the ongoing persecution of Christians? “

  6. I’m all for cutting all US aid to Israel, and most other countries too. Gaza needs to be cut as well. Time to stop propping up this terrorist regime.

As for armaments, make them pay for them, they can afford it. If they wont, cut it off, without armaments, the war ends. They don’t need our money, so we should stop giving it to them.

The US loves to fund both sides in this stupidity. End that all, completely and totally.

Folks won’t like the outcome, but it’s time to stop pretending we can do anything to end this.

  8. Again, Israel has sole control of EVERYTHING going in and out of Gaza, which has become a bonafied concentration camp. They control ALL food, ALL water, ALL medical aid. The responsibility for the famine condition of the people there is clear. But American Christians seem to love their blindness. May God open the eyes of our hearts and grace us with sight so we can help end this holocaust.

  9. When I first heard them, these signings used to be good news to me. Now I’m just waiting to see if it’s going to produce stability and employment, or is it just another puff of hot air. One we could certainly use (and I’d be very thankful for), the other we have an overabundance of already. I’ll have to wait and see before I celebrate too much. :–)

  10. Israel is the occupying power. Under international law, it is responsible. There’s no way around this — it can whine and gripe and attempt to sow confusion but it’s responsible. Now that the western media is finally forced to acknowledge the on-going genocide, it attempts to help Israel sow confusion. But there’s nothing to be confused about — its genocide.

  11. I comment about American politics here because that is what is posted. Canadian politics are generally boring. After all we elected a banker as PM and he’s not even in the Epstein files — boring and safe.

The trade agreements appear to be mere frameworks for an actual agreement and details will come later. Sometimes things fall apart at that stage — there’s still some confusion about US-Japan and some contradictory reports.

Interestingly it appears that some of the trade to be regulated is state to state. As in the EU will sell to the US and vice versa. At first I thought it was a simplification but it appears the US has endorsed state capitalism and they are attempting to trade nation to nation. This is the East Asian approach; Xi must be amused.

Normally in the liberal democratic bloc (ie the West), countries create infrastructure and set up taxes while private enterprises do the heavy lifting. The Rhine and Nordic models have some state involvement but not to the extent suggested in the current framework. Another nail into neoliberalism??

EU trade agreements are difficult to finalize as unanimity is needed and appears Macron is not onside. However he’s political weak. Perhaps opposing the agreement might pick up his popularity — at this stage he’ll try anything.

Canada, as Trump said, is being difficult right now. We can be — we already have an agreement that still has a year left in it. There’s no rush — unlike Trump, Carney doesn’t need a distraction. He’s still doing extremely well in the polls. The August 1st deadline which I believe the Trump admin put in place seems to be more of a suggestion right now; but who knows I might be wrong.

  12. The church fires are an interesting thing to post now, as they haven’t happened in over two years. As the wikipedia article suggests the fires that were set as a reaction to the residential schools were from 2021 to 2023. They numbered about 25 not 100 as suggested by the tweet. A church fire now would be a different event and probably has an individual cause — accident, arson, mental illness, electrical or whatever.

  13. Just saw this scrolling — the UK tariff is 10% and EU tariffs is 15%. Per the Good Friday agreement, there is no border between Northern Ireland and Ireland. After Brexit, things go a little complicated but they’ve settled on northern Ireland have a customs union with the EU while the rest of the UK doesn’t. Not sure how the EU and UK agreements work with the US but this was raised as a concern by the Guardian and other members of the British press so more details to work on.

The EU agreement to purchase energy from the US seems more to do with NATO in the sense its designed to force the EU off Russian oil and gas.

  14. Usually , if you occupy long enough it becomes yours, certainly in your own eyes. But there is a difference in the occupying authorities and the people living in a place that is occupied .

Sometimes the people don’t accept the occupyung authority as legitimate. I think that’s what’s happening to some extent in both Ukraine and Israel.

  16. posted too soon… anyway… she is a Democrat… go figure. Downplaying the vicious attack by black men on white man and woman. Talk about deplorable…😡

Accoding to online videos, the “fight” consisted of a mob stomping on the head of a man cowering on downtown street, while a woman was cold-cocked and knocked out with blood pouring from her mouth after she tried to intervene.

Theetge, however, tried to downplay the brawl, calling the weekend “outside of this one incident, an amazing success for this city” while explaining that a baseball game and music festival happening in Cincinnati that night both went off without a hitch.

  17. Oh Canada…

    sean feucht canada canadian tour

Although worship leader Sean Feucht’s week-long tour of eastern Canada is over, it has sparked debate over free speech and religious rights, and whether government officials can censor performers with whom they disagree.

The controversial activist — known for his support of President Donald Trump and conservative beliefs on abortion, gender, and sexuality — had six concerts cancelled by Canadian officials citing “safety concerns” or complaints by residents.

Montreal Mayor Valérie Plante released a statement saying Feucht’s performances ran counter to the city’s “values of inclusion, solidarity, and respect,” according to Global News.

  18. From what I understand, he booked his concerts at public venues. City officials are quick to cancel if they feel a lawsuit is coming for any reason. And that’s in the contract. All it takes is one complaint and the same issue arose with by-law rules — it only takes one complaint. If he had booked his concerts in private venues there would be far less chance of cancellations and other difficulties.

Some of my religious friends claim this was a worship service and thus not eligible for by law infractions but I’m old fashioned — there doesn’t seem to be any rite rote or ritual just entertainment. So even if it’s in a church, a permit is required. (but if no one said anything, nothing would’ve happened …. there are Karens everywhere)

But let’s face it Trump and any support for Trump isn’t popular in Canada. He should try Scotland next……

  19. I know I mentioned this before but it bears repeating since North American automakers keep bringing it up. North American car makers are using raw materials — steel, copper, iron, parts, rubber — that may have anywhere between 10 to 50 % tariffs on them. However, you can build a car in the EU or East Asia with tariff free materials and then ship it to the US with a 10-15% tariff. This isn’t going to help North American car makers.

Yeah no bias control here according to the mayor…just book it private and it’s ok? Nope… he isn’t their kind of welcoming person … he has opposite faith and beliefs…but hey Canada isn’t the only place pulling this garbage…
