Again, such beauty to see. I am so enjoying seeing all the flowers at this time of year. Both the domesticated ones and the wild ones in the fields and ditches are beautiful.
OTOH, we are not enjoying the smoke from Canada. Today we are again in the hazardous zone. It is equivalent to many cigarettes smoked. Forest fires will not ever be prevented until Jesus comes, no doubt, but you would think they could do something about so many, so often. When you do not have air conditioning and need windows open, this is hazardous.
Painters return this morning and will hopefully finish the job…home projects are not for the faint of heart but the results will be satisfying I hope! They need to take the plastic off my windows..I feel like I can’t breathe!
Beautiful photo. We are going to a coming of age ceremony on the rez this evening. Going to try to deliver some goat milk between the floods in ruidoso first, and visit a friend in the nursing home.
Good morning! Oh, how I enjoy seeing vistas like that with open spaces. Living around the city can make one start to feel boxed in and cramped.
We enjoyed breakfast at Old Hickory House this morning with son and brother. The parking lot smells of hickory smoke which in small doses is delightful.
I remember the summer when son did his outdoor building of his Eagle scout project. It was the summer of the Okefenokee (sp?) Swamp fires at the Georgia/Florida border. All that smoke drifted here and made for an unpleasant atmosphere. Also the chloride smoke drift from an adjoining county industrial plant fire was the worst.
You might consider an air filter. We had to buy one starting 9 years ago when the fires came to NorCal. We break it out when we can see the air, and it helps.
NJ – You have my sympathies! Although I want it all to be done, I am not looking forward to all the work that will have to be done on this house pretty soon. (Or soonish?) Especially not looking forward to when they rehab the upstairs bathroom, which will include tearing down my kitchen ceiling.
I just keep reminding myself that it will eventually all be finished, I will have sold the house, and be living at Woodland Springs. But there is so much to do between now and then that Woodland Springs seems as if it is a faraway dream.
Kizzie I thought of you while typing out my post! Praying over you as you walk the next leg of the journey and then finally be afforded the time to exhale sister!!❣️
