Good morning. That is an interesting fungi. I hope AJ and all the guys had a good day yesterday . Attempting to convert an old pool frame into a greenhouse is on our agenda today.
it is so.peaceful outside before the sun comes up, even with all of the turbine traffic. My favorite time of day.
I will be interested to hear how it is to live close to those turbines when they are turning.
I found the fungi interesting also, because ours are not colored that way. I have a neighbor who paints on those. She bakes them to kill any insects in them. I once brought some home to my mom who would use them for flower arrangements. She ended up throwing it out because of the bugs. She used to cook soil to remove the bad stuff but never thought of baking the fungi.
We were happy to hear the killer of our legislator was caught. Our friend, who is a legislator gave thanks to the sheriffs sent to keep him and his family safe. So sad to think it is necessary at all.
Good morning! We’ve been to the doc for Art’s checkup. Doc was still all about getting vaccines up to date. She thinks Covid boosters are most important.
That is a very interesting header. I never would have considered baking them, either.
A church friend posted this old song from Star Trek. Dolly Parton singing to an alien. I don’t think I ever saw that episode.
Janice – I’ve read that even many doctors who agree that the Covid boosters are not necessary for everyone say that they are particularly recommended for seniors.
While I will never let them inject stuff in me again I know many swear by the stuff. Sadly my neighbor’s vaccinated friend died from Covid last night 🫤
Oh Captain Kangaroo and Mr Green jeans!!! But if you were from the Cincy area you would remember Uncle Al and Captain Wendy…and Skipper Ryle…and Batty Hattie from Cincinnati!!😂
Captain Kangeroo. I never heard of Captain Noah. When my family moved from the city to the country I was not happy that we had to catch the bus before Captain Kangeroo was over. The end of that show had been the sign for us to leave for our bus stop. When we moved we caught the bus at the end of our driveway, but it was before the show ended. Traumatizing. 😉
After tornado warnings we got flash flood warnings. I am not sure how much rain we received, but the weather people were saying many got 3-5 inches and were going to get 1-3 more. Hopefully, our sump pump will keep working. Something tells me the fire danger is passed us for a while.
Very nice image, AJ. I don’t take a lot of mushroom photos, but do go for that species when I see it.
Speaking of photos, I took 5,000 of them in three days last week. That’s definitely a record! (I’ve only gotten above 2,000 in a day a couple of times.) Of course, a big part of that is that two of my cameras are mostly set on action mode, so even if the critter isn’t doing much of anything, I get 3-5 nearly identical images of it and have a lot of photos to delete!

Good morning. I have heard of the baking of dirt, not fungi. All I bake here anymore is pound cake but usually, daughter does it for me.

So my wife asked me a question, which I will now share with you.
These men may mean nothing to you, as they might just be regional stars.
So which did you remember most from childhood?
Capt. Noah?

Or Capt. Kangaroo?

Captain Kangaroo. Sorry, I never heard of Captain Noah.
That video was from The Orville, not from Star Trek. I’m not sure what the “Star Trek Nitpickers” message displayed at the beginning was about.

Oh, Anonymous was me, Cheryl. I’m on a new computer, and so it didn’t have my log-in info.
