  1. Good morning!

Another beautiful photo, a simple and effective composition to generate a sense of peace.

We had a storm in the night. A big tree is down on the heavy traffic road our street connects with. At least traffic is being routed through the neighborhood just down the road from our street. We got the rerouting the last time.

  2. Morning! Pretty bird up early getting the worm?? Great photo!

Mrs Fox visited this morning. She walked right up to me. They have been capturing lots of voles and mice around here! Good friends they are.

  3. We came back home yesterday after several days of watching grandchildren and our great-granddaughter sometimes, as well. As anyone who has these knows, it is both rewarding and tiring. I am glad to experience their routine and get to know them more in their world. Being a grandparent is a different challenge than parenting, but it is a challenge. Like parenting it also has some wonderful rewards.

The first day we also got to meet some to of the special education teachers, since we had to shelter for an hour from a tornado. There was one in the town near the school, which is also where our grandson lives. We heard there was one in the town where our daughter lives, so we had no idea what would greet us as we went to her home. Fortunately, all was well. That one did some damage to a friend of our daughter, but it was minimal. A third one was also minimal.

Last night one did rotate over my grandson’s neighborhood in Alabama. He was fine, but I haven’t heard if there was damage to his home or vehicle.

I feel so bad for those who lost loved ones or lives in these storms. Same with those who lost homes here from fires. We had extreme danger again yesterday. Several fires were spotted and put out immediately. One is contained and a couple more are still being worked on to contain.

How small these powerful storms and fire can make us feel! I think that is an advantage, however, spiritually.

Worse is the frustration of seeing loved ones reject the Lord or fail to deal with their own spiritual condition. We are drawn to our knees again.

  4. So I did something today. Please do not take this as bragging, it is a God thing, that is why I share.

There are some missionaries in our church who became our missionaries in 1972. They went to Spain and then did hispanic ministry in the Dallas area. In the last few years they have been going to minister to churches in Cuba. Last Saturday they gave a presentation telling about their ministry in Cuba. They told about how the power goes off frequently. Or may only be on for a few hours daily. It has been difficult for them to present their teaching. They said if the power goes on at 4am, the moms get up and begin cooking for their family.

Well, back in January/February I bought a generator that is solar powered. It only weighs 26 pounds and will power a refrigerator. So I can carry it It has been sitting on my counter in the laundry room, but our power is good here.

So God touched my heart and claimed His generator.

Now please join me in prayer that it will be accepted for their flight to Dallas this Saturday and then for a flight to Cuba in July.

    J
