“I’ve had a few drinks and read the Supreme Court’s ruling on the Alien Enemies Act…

First, this was not a block on Trump’s use of the Alien Enemies Act. It was simply a punt and an effort to tie it up a bit longer. Instead of just being men, they punted it back to the Fifth Circuit.

Now, the Fifth Circuit will actually end up siding with Trump on his legal authority and use of the Alien Enemies Act. However, they will need to clarify some arbitrary amount of days that the administration must give as notice to the illegal immigrant gang member deportees. Today, 24 hours was ruled not enough.

“To be clear, we decide today only that the detainees are entitled to more notice than was given on April 18.”

Really this is just a useless and pathetic procedural step that the Fifth Circuit must now decide on to please the weak Supreme Court Justices. It could be 48 hours, it could be 7 days, it could be 90 days. We shall see.

    What would I do?

Very simple. If I was Trump and @StephenM, I would immediately notify every illegal immigrant possible. A blanket notification for everyone we want to deport under the Alien Enemies Act. Start the clock tomorrow on whatever length of time the Fifth Circuit ends up deciding on.”

  2. “Under Democrats a new hiring policy was enacted at the State Department

Senator Ted Cruz questions Chief Diversity Officer over email sent out saying white men, straight white men and being Christian WAS A DISABILITY and those people can’t be hired

“Nothing more than brazen discrimination. You were appointed in April 2021, and as you extensively testified this morning, you introduced fundamental changes to the State Department hiring practices. A senior State Department official broadly distributed what I consider to be a very troubling email. I have a copy of that email next to me. Let me read from a part of the email.

The email says that hiring practices have developed inside the State Department so that, and I’ll quote, that certain candid could not be hired because they have a disability. They are white men. They are straight white men. They are not of the, Quote. ‘The right religion’ All of these are verbatim quotes”

  3. USAID is the vehicle they use to commit this widespread fraud. Burn it down.

“Several months ago, I started a website to search federal awards. The idea here was we’d find general waste, cut spending, execute on a vision of smaller government. And there’s certainly a lot of bloat.

However, what started out as waste-cutting quickly morphed into understanding why so much money is leaving the federal government and going into NGOs.

These NGOs have been responsible for trafficking 20 million illegal immigrants into our country during the Biden years, many of them receiving benefits. And many of these NGOs also are the primary beneficiaries of foreign aid.

And then I dig deeper – there is an entire ideology, an entire philosophy connecting this web of foreign aid and mass migration.

This is the same ideology which led Congress to finance Ukraine, but not Hurricane Helene victims.

This is the same ideology which led us into the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

This is the same ideology that George Soros outlined in his essay, “Toward a New World Order: The Future of NATO.”

This is the same ideolideology which led us into the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

This is the same ideology that George Soros outlined in his essay, “Toward a New World Order: The Future of NATO.”

This is the same ideology which caused President Biden to declare 74 million supporters of President Trump the greatest threat to our Republic.

To defeat government waste, we have to defeat this ideology. I never expected to set on this path. I don’t know where it will head. But I will continue to do my part.”

  4. ”undocumented migrants”!!!

Or as I would refer to them as illegal invaders who should be arrested and immediately deported! This is an outrage. So now even though they have invaded our country they probably didn’t know they weren’t allowed in a military zone so give them a break??!!!

A federal magistrate judge has dismissed trespassing charges against 98 people who were arrested along the Southwest border for entering the newly created National Defense Area in New Mexico that the Trump administration considers an extension of an Arizona military base.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Gregory B. Wormuth ruled Wednesday, in 98 separate filings, that the federal government had failed to demonstrate that the individuals, who were undocumented migrants, knew they were entering the New Mexico National Defense Area that stretches along 170 miles of public land in New Mexico and is considered a part of the Fort Huachuca Army base in Arizona.

  5. Another media fiction is being exposed with the release of the Biden interview with Hur.

The trash media pretended this man was a lying partisan, when in reality its them that were.

“FLASHBACK: Joe Scarborough goes on a wild, profane rant defending Biden’s cognitive state and defaming Robert Hur —

    — accusing Hur of humiliating himself so Trump would give him a judgeship.

Turns out the one humiliating himself was Joe Scarborough. Again.”

“Watching @TriciaOhio deliver one hell of a master class to a nobody CNN host made me smile.

“We have granted asylum to 8666 individuals since January 20th, regardless of color or creed.”

“It is, quite frankly, disturbing to me that members of the media, including people who are on this very network, are trying to whitewash the facts and whitewash the fact that these individuals have faced discrimination, racial violence, the seizure of their land based on nothing but their skin color alone.”

“This is the United States of America, a land of opportunity, and we will help those who are facing persecution from the government of South Africa.”

  7. I told Son that under former State Dept. guidelines that he was considered disabled. He said that goes against Americans With Disabilities Act (he is familiar with that because of his teaching position). He said if they were truly disabled then they would have been under the quotas that required them to be hired. Now there is an ironic Catch-22!

  8. Re: 10:37 – As I shared yesterday:

“Merchandise stamped with “8647,” from shirts and hats to bumper stickers and pins, are offered by vendors on sites like Amazon and Etsy. So too, however, are “8646” items — a reference to former President Joe Biden.” ~

  9. This camp is a good one. In the eighth grade our public middle school sent students here ( not forced just volunteer). My daughter went many years ago for a week and had a wonderful time of learning exploring and all around fun. I’d Rather Have Jesus camp is fighting the enemy …Colorado “ leadership “ is pure evil.

Camp IdRaHaJe has faithfully served and ministered to Colorado children of all backgrounds and faiths since 1948 and has successfully maintained its resident camp license since it first received one in 1995. The new policy of the Colorado Department of Early Childhood, however, is asking IdRaHaJe to choose between upholding its Biblical beliefs about biological sex and risk losing its license or abandoning its beliefs and mission by forcing girls and boys to shower, dress, and share sleeping quarters with campers of the opposite sex. We are asking the court to allow us to operate consistent with our beliefs and protect our campers from a gender ideology agenda.

Although yes, to 86 someone can refer to killing them, the original meaning is to kick them out.

    • Is it possible for us to know another person’s intent? And do we know whether he put it up or found it and photographed it? I see rocks in stacks all over the place, though I’ve never taken rocks and stacked them next to a trail myself.

      Liked by 1 person

      • To know one’s intent? No. What do you think is key here – we are, after all, posting our opinions.

Do you really believe the ex-FBI Director would post this on social media b/c he saw a “cool shell formation”? Why was it ‘cool’? Why did Comey previously post about having “come across” a seashell saying, “Harris ’24”?

This from an ex-FBI Director who basically destroyed the institution. The ex-FBI Director who weaponized the FBI against others, including candidate and President Trump, who has already had at least two assassination attempts on his life. The ex-FBI Director who said that Donald Trump and his tactics are a “threat to democracy.”

How about Comey’s lame apology, that “I didn’t realize some folks associate those numbers with violence. It never occurred to me…” This coming, again, from the ex-FBI Director who has prosecuted mobsters and other terrible people, and who would certainly know that the numbers can be (and many times are) associated with violence (and many people around the world have just posted and attested to that fact). It simply doesn’t pass the smell test…

Comey is being very dishonest here – I’m glad that the SS has interrogated him, and that they are going to question his wife as well.

  11. Cheryl makes a good point. Comey could merely have been taking a photo of something he came across. That might even be most likely.

But taking the assumption that he did it himself, my assumption of his intent would be to impeach Trump or some such thing. I very highly doubt that Comey intended to insinuate that Trump should be killed. He is not stupid.

  12. If that were the case Comey could have simply stated so.

He didn’t, but he did remove it after being called on it. He knew exactly what he was doing, and what it meant.

  13. I for one am unconcerned with Comey the treasonous idiot with no power. I’m concerned with those still in govt and the USAID scandal that has been using our money to overthrow those we put in office. Go after Comey for that.

“O’Keefe Media Group @JamesOKeefeIII : “Amjad Anton Fseisi states the higher-ups in the intel community, including CIA Directors Mike Pompeo and Gina Haspel and the upper levels of their staffs colluded to withhold information from the sitting President of the United States.”

In other words, Adam Schiff conspired with CIA Director John Brennan to overthrow the United States government in 2016 and then, right out of a small room in Langley, covertly conspired with CIA Director Mike Pompeo to overthrow the sitting President of the United States @realDonaldTrump in 2017,

    And

Conspired with CIA Director Gina Haspel, OCCRP, and USAID to topple the United States government in 2019.

@shellenberger “It’s a crazy story — The House of Representatives impeached, President Trump in December of 2019. Many people may may not remember that it was a CIA analyst who was left over from the Obama White House who wrote the memo that led to the impeachment. It was all based on hearsay. The person had not actually been in the room with Trump.

Nonetheless, this memo that he wrote relied heavily on a report done by an organization funded by USAID. In fact, its initial founding funding I mean, now it’s $10s of millions of dollars had gone into this group called the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project, a name that’s not very memorable, OCCRP, but it was basically created as an extension of the state department and then of USAID.”

Meaning, the CIA attempted to overthrow the U.S. government in 2016, attempted to overthrow the sitting president in 2019, and succeeded in 2020 — all funded by USAID through the extortion of the American taxpayer.

The Republicans in Congress are useless, and may the legacy media rot in hell. This is precisely why @JamesOKeefeIII is the news. @SenAdamSchiff belongs in Alcatraz for the rest of his natural life, with no possibility of parole.”

  14. I think it is proper for the DoJ to interrogate and investigate Comey, if for no other reason than to determine his intent in posting something that could reasonably be seen as a call to violence. And given his history and position and knowledge, there is no reason to simply take him at his word.

  15. Comey may have no official position, but he is still connected with people who do and there should be some investigation. Still, I think it’s probably a mistake to make it a front page issue— unless an investigation turns up something important. Right now there are more urgent things.

  16. NPR, from which I quoted recently, is typically rejected as a source here. It is not one of my main sources, but I do read a piece from them occasionally. In reading Tangle’s Friday piece, answering questions from readers, one came up about why Tangle considers NPR to be liberal. Here are excerpts from the reply. (BTW, this is not insinuating that NPR is any more biased than other sources.)

As for the last line here -“I would, however, encourage you to engage with other outlets as well to ensure you’re getting the full picture” – that is wise no matter what our usual media choices are.

~ Will Kaback: The comment you’re responding to was made as an aside in Isaac’s take on President Trump’s executive order to defund NPR and PBS, and requires some additional context. “Obviously liberal” was not meant in a pejorative way; Isaac was simply saying that NPR exhibits a left-leaning bias in its coverage.

Media bias reviewers back this up. […] At the same time (and as you note), these reviewers also give the outlet a high score for accurate reporting.

NPR’s bias isn’t expressed as much in its factuality, but more in their story selection and headlines. […]

None of this is meant to suggest you should stop listening to or reading NPR; here at Tangle, we regularly read them and use their reporting in our own coverage. […] I would, however, encourage you to engage with other outlets as well to ensure you’re getting the full picture.” ~

  18. FTR, I was not defending Comey in particular. Just pointing out that 86 usually means to kick someone out (I think the phrase may have originated in bars?) and that not only “8647,” but also “8646” has been around for a bit.

  19. To add to my earlier comment about NPR. . . Sources on both political sides tend to focus their stories and headlines according to their political views, and often ignore or downplay stories that do not align with those views.

For a few years now, I have found it frustrating that often the only sources that would refute or give more accurate details about various stories would be on one side or the other. Unfortunately, there are folks on both sides who will dismiss any articles from sources that lean in the opposite political direction.

  20. It doesn’t matter, Kizzie, as long as you present your idea coherently. It’s ok if others disparage the source. Truth has a way of rising to the top like the cream in whole unpasteurized milk. But it usually takes time. Lots of time. :–)
