We were thankful that the three tornadoes that were fairly close to us did not hit the school in which we had to shelter for an hour. We heard it hit the town my daughter lives in, but fortunately not where it did much damage. My SIL was also sheltered in his school and then drove straight into where the tornado was predicted. He had the radio on so did hear that one was down just as he was driving down the road. We never lost power at either place, so were blessed there as well. Some children were already on the bus and had just left the school. They had to return and take shelter.
Now to get the littles back to school. Hope you all have a good day!
Morning and thankful you and yours are ok Kathaleena!! Scary!
Hi RK!!! Good to have a day off and gardening soothes the soul. Do you have critters trying to sabotage your efforts?
Jo I had to look up mountain ranges in your area referring to your question last night. I have not a clue as to the answer!! I think one choice was Mendocino range?? ⛰️
Mumsee got it. A very unique, small range of mountains. I have heard that early pioneers testified that the entire valley would flood and you could only see the buttes sticking up. From one side it looks like an Indian maiden.
Okay, I think I need to go try and dig a hole and plant a tree. This will be a first for me.
Good afternoon. It is hot here again, and humid. I may have to turn on the AC.
Son is here, and we have been running errands. We recycled a lot of glass bottles earlier at the Dekalb Farmer’s Market. It is a giant place that serves people from all the nations. I got a whole rainbow trout to try and cook tonight or tomorrow. Son bought some loose leaf teas. They have great buys on herbs and spices.
A man is here repairing son’s windshield in the driveway. So glad we have that convenience these days.
Janice, son cooked up about seven of those just the other day. I hear they were delicious but had other lunch plans so missed out. He and daughter had caught them out at the reservoir.
