  1. I don’t like the way President Trump talks and disparages people. There are things I disagree with; however, I don’t think he is any more unstable than President Biden was. The fact that everyone AND almost the whole media lied about Biden being able to govern was very unsettling. The only reason it wasn’t as much was that the media treated him very differently. Most people are not that into politics and believe what they see on the mainstream media. It has a lot of power to set agendas and unsettle the average person. I am able to watch many speeches and hearings and see how things are twisted. The average person is busy working or dealing with children and do not see that. So, I see why you may find him unsettling, Dj, but did you not find it unsettling when Biden was in?

  2. Yes, sadly vulgarity and a loss of social graces is what we have these days. It is not surprising when we are losing our Judeo/Christian ethic. It is not surprising when students are taught that there is no ‘truth,’ only your truth or my truth. It makes me realize how important prayer and influence is, especially for our grandchildren and so on.

  3. “@SecDef “No more social engineering. No more climate change worship. No more electric tanks. No more gender confusion. No more pronouns. No more excuses. No more quotas.

No more WOKE bullsh*t that undermines commanders and command climates. We are laser focused on our mission of warfighting.”

  4. Welcome to America’s two tiered justice system.

And once again, the filthy little fingers of Soros are all over this with another bought and paid for prosecutor.

“If I went to the offices of the Open Society foundation and inflicted 20,000 worth of damages on the property in MN, I would be facing 10 years in prison. If I did that as a staffer for a republican candidate in Minnesota, I would be facing a terrorism enhancement.

But because the damage was done by a Democrat to Tesla, which is affiliated with Elon Musk, who is affiliated with Donald Trump, no charges are filed.

Democrats hate the rule of law.”

Unless of course they can bastardize it to benefit illegal invaders and the politically connected.

  5. Things that make you go “hmmm”

Wondering why he hadn’t been charge with harboring an illegal invader criminal?

For Portland readers, back in early March, Homeland Security raided this New Mexico judge’s home and found a 23-year-old Tren de Aragua gang member (an illegal alien) living in the judge’s casita (guest house) where he was polishing his illegal firearms. Three days following the arrest, Judge Cano wisely resigned from the bench.

Yesterday, just a few weeks later, the New Mexico Supreme Court ruled that Mr. Cano “can never hold a judicial office again, be a candidate for a judicial office, and cannot exercise any judicial authority in the state,” including weddings. Boom.

  6. I’ve actually found it (US politics) all unsettling generally for some time — I don’t generally ever get “carried away” by any politician, and haven’t for a very long time now. I view them with (I think) a healthy skepticism and so find myself standing to the side. Maybe it’s my journalism background, maybe it’s my age and life experience, maybe a combination of all of that.

But I find it curious when people I know become caught up with a politician, thinking we have found a political savior of some sort.

Some leaders strike me as better than others, some worse than others. I’m not impressed by this particular era we’re in, but that goes back a couple or few presidencies (you figure out how many I may be referring to).

I wish I felt more optimistic but I think that generally comes more with youth and inexperience, maybe a political naïveté, to be honest.

Our country and the world also has slid into a decidedly more rough-edged time.

God is always at work, doing something with all of it, we can’t really know exactly what. I pray out nation comes out of this period and finds its way back to a more hopeful, pure way forward. I don’t think this period is “it.” Not yet.

  7. Welcome to Obama’s Post Racial America.

Once again, all in support of a cold blooded murderer.

  8. Let’s just say I certainly haven’t ruled out the very distinct possibility that God may be exacting judgement on our nation — and perhaps has been doing so through several political generations now.

    😦

I hope I am wrong, but think I may not be.

What I see is general chaos, including among the “information” (or lack thereof) that is being scatter-shot out on a whim through the ‘airwaves’ and throughout the random internet blasts by the likes of “catturd”s.

It’s really quite sad to watch.

I don’t know how or where it ends. None of it serves our nation well.

  9. Many bemoan the “traditional” media — but what we have now? Chaos. Not much better, and perhaps much worse – extremist (both sides) gossip.

  10. Kathaleena – In various sources, I have read that there may be a quiet awakening going on among the younger generations. They are beginning to see how empty our society/culture is, and want something more spiritually substantive. Many are turning to good old-fashioned Christianity.

That gives me some hope for my own grandson and his generation. May God pour out His spirit upon them, and bring them into His Kingdom.

  11. Yes, Kiz,ie, I have heard that is is the young men, especially, who are now interested in Jesus. I am sure they have looked around and found no suitable heros and thus want to see what Jesus is all about.

Yes, Dj, God very well could be working out His judgement on our nation.

  12. Do you not see our ID’s, Dj? I see most, but not all. I saw Nj tried to post her’s, but had to do it on a new post.

Yes, I have heard there is an awakening among some of the young. I have some wonderful grandchildren and see many other wonderful young people. I also see so many lost and confused.

There is always hope. Jesus told us that. I think how hopeless everything looked during the Holocaust.

  13. Well obbviously, those who include their id’s are not being addressed. 🙂

Praying if the faith is to be revived that it is the true, thoughtful, biblically rooted faith and not a faith that is driving by a culturally populist or politicized movement.

  15. A prayer prompt I received in my inbox. Very timely:

“CWA Faith Month Day 24: Reflect on our verse from yesterday and pray for those for whom it is hard to pray. Pray for those who disagree with our views, our values, and our beliefs. It is our second greatest commandment.”

  16. I pray all followers of Christ listen to His voice and guidance… young and old . If some are not so inclined to stand with those standing for truth and justice that is between them and Him. As for me I will stand for what is right and true…if politicians are standing in that crowd all the better. May God bless their efforts nj

  17. Like it or not Dj, and you clearly don’t, Catturd has 3.6 million followers. A larger audience than many mainstream newspapers and TV or radio shows. He is the new media. He points people to conservative news sources. He has another million on Truth Social. He does podcasts weekly as well. Also runs a pet rescue, and an exclusive pets only X page.

You can mock him for his moniker, but dismissing him is silly.

Either the media adapts to this reality of the new media, or…..

Continue to have them eat your industry’s lunch.
