Good morning, all. Another beautiful day here. Forty eight, looking at sixty three with rain and thunderstorms. Yesterday was probably seventies or more and sunshine. Must be spring! I did see open daffodils yesterday.
Good morning. We have 56°, going up to the low 70s, so not far off from your temps, Mumsee. It is a gorgeous day. I love this blue sky and sunny day freshness.
I got to talk to son last night and get more details about his Boston conference. He said he normally does not care too much for networking, but it all was an organic process that happened naturally at this conference so he enjoyed it. He was a panel organizer and had invited a scholar from England to be on the panel. It worked out well for him to meet people from all over the world. The panels meet in classroom size locations. The subject matter for each panel is very specialized and appeals to specific attendees according to what they teach or are focused on in research. I think that over the three days there may have been around six hundred different sessions. A really huge conference that had three major hotels adjoined by a covered mall area with restaurants. He never left the site to see anything else in Boston.
That’s great that Miguel can see his mom! That means so much!!!
AJ, I am sorry to hear about how hard it is. I have not made myself attempt even a short walk after that herrible bug zapped me. One day soon . . .
Jo, it seems I recall they sometimes have questions like, “Would you like to see more of this type content?” with new posts. So they do want feedback on the type content you want to see. You will have to search around, and maybe look at your privacy settings. You may be able to set it to see only posts from friends and not from the public.
We are back. Did you miss us? Took dad to Grangeville for a haircut and picked up some fruit trees. Got back in time to show the guys delivering the new washer, the double doors in the living room. First time I have been beyond town in months. And! I sat in the back and did not get carsick!
Jo – Are the posts from advertisements or Facebook friends or groups you may be in?
I don’t know how you read Facebook, but I prefer using the “Feeds” feature. It goes in order, with recent posts first. I still get advertisements, but I haven’t had anything “sexual” come up.
On the other feed, which has the “Stories” at the top of the page, posts from non-friends can come up if a “friend” liked or commented on it. Wondering if that is the issue?
One other thing about my using the “Feeds” feature. When you click on it, it will come up in the “All” category, while there are separate feeds for Friends, Groups, and Pages. I found using “All,” which contains all of those, to be best. One time when I used them separately, I noticed that not as much stuff came up. When I switched to “All,” I noticed that there were more posts from a couple of friends that had not shown up in “Friends”.
On my computer there are three dots on the side of each post. Like Kizzie said, you can choose an option. You can hide the post (and they say they will send less like that. You can report a post. I reported some from fake Joann Fabric sites, but FB said they did not go against their policies! Even though they will take information to rob people, so that stinks. I hope you can get rid of them, Jo.

Glad to hear you were able to be out and about again, AJ.
Debra, how are your guys doing? Did your husband recover from this bout of covid.
Miguel went down to Las Cruces. This is the first time he has gone to see his mom since his hospitalization. She will be happy.

This was probably more than you asked for. 🙂

Deep teeth cleaning w/”root planing” — one more section done today, one more to go next week. So much fun.
I don’t notice ads on FB, not aware of “sex” stuff?; but I only pop on periodically to see friends’ posts and not for long periods.
OK, anesthesia is now wearing off …
