Good morning! It is World Down Syndrome Day. My friend has a 40 y/o Down Syndrome nephew who is delightful to overhear in telephone conversations. He has a sweet girlfriend. Another lady in my Bible study group has a Down Syndrome grandson who we pray for often. And, I am thinking of Kathaleena’s adorable granddaughter. Such blessings, like sunshine from God, all of them.
I didn’t sleep much last night. My daughter flew from Chicago O’Hare to SFO on an 8:30 flight full of problems with the plane, the ability of the pilot to apparently steer, and two broken tow packs.
Once they finally got into the air, with apparently broken landing gear, I asked people on FB to pray.
They all got her–and the rest of the full flight–home.
God is good and I’m grateful for the prayers.
This was only the latest in a series of hair-raising events this week connected to my daughter and her roommate.
Even when they’re raised, they’re still your kids.
My husband knows a lot about the Ring camera system now.
It does not, however, make a dog obey you when you tell it sit and stop barking over the Ring microphone.
The poor dog kept looking up at the sky wondering where the voice was coming from! LOL.
Thank you for the compliments about our granddaughter. As my daughter says of both her youngest two, ” They are the children we didn’t know we needed.” But God did. 🙂
Those with Down Syndrome have a lot of physical problems, some more than others. There are lots of challenges. We have no guarantees with any of our children, of course, as they grow. They grow us in many ways.

Fine morning to one and all. Thirty nine here, headed to forty nine. Rain expected. Son is going hiking with our one time pastor. Good for both.

Brother and sister in law had their plane return due to steering problems. Prayer for them, please.
