Last night, around 1:30am, that “stomach bug” that Boy and Nightingale had had last week hit me. About every hour, I would wake up and have to throw up. A little after 8:00 this morning, I woke up nauseous as the other times, but that was mostly relieved by some big burps. Went back to bed and slept until 9:20, when a phone call came in, and then decided to stay up, although I am feeling exhausted.
Still feeling nauseous. I have been carefully sipping – and only sipping – some Pedialyte-type stuff. Still feeling quite sick, and hoping that nothing more comes up.
Kizzie, I believe the name of the stomach virus most prevalent here is Norovirus. There are probably many other varieties though. Praying it will leave quickly like it came upon you as a thief in the night. Quickly, be gone! In Jesus’ name, Amen
Norovirus is terrible, but usually short lasting. We have a lot of flu and Covid still around. Another man I know was just intubated a couple of days ago. I, too, pray you get well quickly, Kizzie.

Thank you, Janice.
Yes, this was most probably the Norovirus, but we often refer to it as a stomach bug or stomach flu. By whatever name we give it, it feels awful.
