A beautiful late winter morning here. Thirty five degrees, looking at forty six later. Daughter started some coffee cake to go with yogurt and berries when they get back from chores.
That sounds yummy, mumsee. Well, except for the yogurt for me. I never have liked it. All the rest of my family loves it.
Yesterday was so spring-like that I even took off my jacket at one point to go into a store. It was most welcomed, even though we know it will not last. We are about 20 or so inches below normal for snow, however.
Good afternoon. It’s 62° and overcast at the moment. I ate something cold and feel chilled so put on a down puffer vest over my turtleneck to warm up fast.
A friend carried me to the bank to pay a bill and I got home in time to lead the prayer call. I read Psalm 140, a Prayer for Rescue, to the group changing the pronouns from personal to group friendly. Just asking God to help any who are listening more to people than to God and being divisive due to political differences. DEI surfaced as an issue among us. Sad for that weasel to enter in the hen house.
I wrote a letter to our state AG, asking for help on this guardianship deal. I have had help in the past from elected officials, resolving issues. After explaining the challenge and that we had spoken with four separate lawyers, getting four conflicting answers, we heard back! The staffer’s suggestion? See a lawyer. Time to jump the chain again.
7 inches of blowing snow around here and in the low 30’s. Garbage pick up will be delayed…just hoping the cans remain upright!
Past couple of days busy entertaining husband’s friends, then having a loooong breakfast with a friend. Came home to walk with neighbor and ended up with a huge migraine…feeling better today but it may be due to the sudden shift in barometric pressure here.
How frustrating, mumsee! If couples can divorce, children can get emancipated from parents and parents can adopt children out, you should certainly be able to be dropped as guardians. And if you cannot (which I don’t believe) then whoever advised you earlier should have made that perfectly clear. Maybe the threat of a lawsuit would help?
