I’m going to attempt to un-confuse the issue Cheryl and Mumsee had going on yesterday’s thread about the date one month from now.
When Cheryl said it would be March in one month, she meant that in 4 weeks it would be March 1. Mumsee must have thought she was skipping February. Well, one month from January 29 would be February 29, were it not for the fact that February has only 28 days, except in leap years.
Mumsee said it would be February 26 in a month, since Jan 29 is the third to last day of the month and so is Feb 26.
The weather is lovely here today. The birds were singing this morning as if spring had sprung. It amazes me how much difference it makes to have what we consider the preferred weather here. Moods are so much lighter. I have a plan to rake for a bit
You guys are funny. And yes, I do sense a lesson buried in there somewhere. :–)
Today is Dad’s 99th birthday. I took off work and we all went out for dinner. He wore a badge the church gave him on Sunday that announced that he is 99 today. The restaurant servers danced around and sang happy birthday to him, and people kept talking to him the whole time we were there. He loved it. And it was a warm 58 degrees, which he also loved as he could cheerfully live in a perpetual summer. Tomorrow morning we’re planning to get together with family at his favorite breakfast spot and fellowship awhile. You’re only 99 once might as well celebrate as long as you can. :–)

I hope this clears up the confusion.

Thanks, Peter! It’s a Win/Win!
We had another water main break down the street from the original one yesterday. Those old pipes, they aren’t what they used to be.
The new county CEO has her hands full.
Prayers for all affected by the downed plane and Black Hawk. A sad day for many.

Truly sad, Janice.
Freezing temps can be quite hard on pipes, especially old ones.
It is interesting how different people can all be saying something true and yet seem far apart. I sense a lesson in that. Thanks, Peter.

Good morning from another beautiful sunshine day.
I think it is possible, knowing Cheryl like we do, she just may be in a hurry for spring to arrive.

Peter, you’ve only confused me more:
When Cheryl said it would be March in one month, she meant that in 4 weeks it would be March 1.
Four weeks from January 29 is February 26, not March 1.

The difference is in counting by weeks (which week will it fall within) instead of by days, if my logic is working.

Depends on how you define a month.
