🙂 I am so grateful for the neighbor who scoops out the end of our driveway and by the mailbox with his plow. My husband uses a snowblower, which is his preference, but the end of the driveway can get blown in with snow from the wind or get it pushed in by the county snowplow. Years ago, a neighbor did the plowing, and he was very good about not blocking the driveway. This neighbor recently had a heart attack and had stents put in. It was nice to see him up and about doing what he likes to do. He does this at several driveways, and it is appreciated.
😦 The widespread devastation left behind and the long road of recovery ahead. May God bring unexpected blessings and lessons and even gifts — including the gift of newborn faith — out of the ashes and rubble.
😦 Stopped to pick up groceries on the way home. When I got back to my car, I discovered that the roll of bright blue dog pickup bags that were in my jacket pocket had apparently gotten caught/then unrolled as I got out of the car, left trailing/lying several feet outside my car door.
(friend I sat next to in church today said she just got a T-shirt with that phrase on it — after buying a “small” chainsaw to use on the Christmas Tree. Her husband is in the dark about all of that, for now.)
We value our hostages more than they do. It takes hundreds to equal one of ours. I pray for the hostages, those being freed and those left behind, and for their families. Everything is very tentative there.

Grateful and a little puzzled by all the writing things that are coming out of the woodwork. Not big. Not major. But encouraging.
The weather here is gorgeous.
Ministry opportunities have been interesting, as well.
